When You Are Alive There is Still a Hope

Chapter 4

When Alpheos and James arrived at his home, his wife was already on the door step. She was so excited in such a way she couldn't see James who was with her man. Only Alpheos was in her eyes, their eyes met, she ran to him and threw herself into his arms and bust into tears. She was so happy that she cried because Alphoes was right infront of her. She hugged him and even forgot there was a third person with them. Alpheos's heart softened and hug her for a moment. He hugged her and tried to console her, brushing her shoulders until she calm down.

" Honey are you okay? What happened to you? I was worried sick about you that I couldn't sleep a wink at night?"

Merry was still sorbing as she asked these questions.

"I am fine my wife, it's just a minor injury but I am really fine. Please forgive me for worrying you. Let's get in first I will tell you about it."

James who was with them felt as if he was invincible and he didn't know whether to laugh or cry or to leave or what.

" Hello Mrs Alpheos." He greeted her awkwardly.

" Hello James. I am sorry I seemed to ignore you. I was really worried about him. How are you?"

Merry's face turned red with embarrassment.

"I am a bit tired because I stayed on hospital chairs for the entire night but I am glad Alphoes is fine." Even though it sounded exaggerated but it was true. James stayed in hospital for the whole night. He had dark circles under his eyes because he didn't sleep at all.

" Ooh James I am sorry, and thank you for taking care of my husband. You are the true and a good freind."

When James heard Merry praises, he was beaming with joy. He wished he could fly and tell the whole world that he was praised.

"No Mrs Alpheos, you don't have to thank me. I was doing what Alphoes would have done to me if I was the one injured or in trouble." He replied politely of which was unusual.

"Yeah but I still have to thank you." Merry was grateful to James. They entered the house into the dinning room. Merry had already prepared the breakfast on the table. She offered James. They sat and ate silently on the table.

"Mmhhh delicous. I am one hundred percent sure that Alpheos will heal fast because of this food."

James broke the silence.

" Hahaha Thank you James. I am trying by all means to certisfy my husband."

"Thank you honey." Alpheos said bkandly and continued to eat silently. While they were still eating Merry noticed that something was off with her husband and he was beaming with cold sweat on his forehead, she panicked.

"Honey are you in so much pains?" She reached out to touch his forehead.

" I am fine baby please continue to eat or your food will get cold."

" Yes baby I know but I can't help it but to worry when I see you like this. Did you take your medication?" Merry's heart ached because Alphous was trying so hard to hide to her that he was in so much pains.

"Don't worry sweetheart, I will take the after finishing food."

"Okay I will listen to you."

After finishing her food she went to fetch glass and water in the kitchen. And Alpheos took the medication. James was ready to go but before he goes he told Merry to take care of Alphoes and told her about doctors instructions. Alpheos thanked James again for being there for him.

" Thank you James my freind for being there for me in time of need and thank you for taking care of me. You took your precious time that you would've spend with your girlfriend and accompany me. You are more than a freind. Your are my brother. I appreciate you." He said earnestly. James was moved that he almost shared tears.

" Wooow man...thank you for seeing my effort of trying to do good deed and be a good man. Take care of yourself man. I will leave first." James was moved to tears because of this family that has been praising him non stop.

" Okay. We won't see you off because it's time for medication."

" I understand. Take care."

Alpheos and Merry:" Good bye James and take care."

*******MERRY POV*********

After James left. I took Alpheos to our bedroom. When Alpheos sat on bed i noticed that his face was pale and was frowning, than i took out the medication and gave it to him. He drank it and rest on bed.

"Baby please come and accompany and me and tell me the good news you wanted to share."

" Okay Munchie." Then i came to bed and slept on his chest brushing it.

" I miss you baby. I missed this moment last night." Alphoes said that while playing with my hair.

" Say that again. I almost died when I heard that you were at the hospital. What happened babe?"

"Tell me the good news first my love please."

His seductive voice sounded like music in my ears and i couldn't resist anymore. My face blushed and I know it's red as an apple now but I couldn't hold my joy.

" Honey we are pregnant."

I smiled brightly when i spoke about the pregnancy.

"Woooow! What! Are you serious my love.!?"

Alphoes was smiling and even touched my lower abdomen.

"Yes baby we are. God heard our prayers after a long time we have been trying for a baby."

"Ooh my beautiful wife. You have made my day. Thank you my wife, thank for being patient with me. Thank you for making me a man amongst men. Thank you for making me a father. I will always love you."

He got so emotional because yesterday he had put his life on danger when his wife was pregnant. He didn't even know that he was going to be a father.

"Ncooh munchie. You are the best husband any woman could ever ask for. You are a good man and I don't doubt that you gonna be a good father.

"..................(hug) thank you sweetheart ( he whispered). Let us pray now my wife and thanked the Lord and ask for protection.

We got up on bed and held each other's hands and prayed.

"Father's Lord I thank you. Thank you for protecting me though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I am not scared because always with me. Father Lord I thank you for the good and beautiful woman you gave me and Thank you again for the Blessing of the baby growing inside her womb. Lord you are Alpha and Omega. You are Jehovah Jirah, you are Elshadai, You are Jehovah Elgibo. Please protect us as the family and most of all please give this baby a life and protection against all evil. We thank you that you not only God but you are our father. Our provider. BLESS US LORD. I ask this in the name of our Lord. Amen!!"

When he finished this prayer. He was overwhelmed and emotional but most of all he was so overjoyed.

He kissed me who was still on tears. I was touched by the prayer made by my husband.

We kissed each other very affectinately. The kiss was so intense and passionate. The fire of love was ignited between us and that led us on the world of romance.

" I love you Alphoes."

"I love you more my love. You are the love of my life. We have to go to doctor for a check up."

He said that while brushing my stomach.

" Yeah we have to go tomorrow, but that's if you feeling much better. You haven't told me what happened or even show me your wounds Honey."

"Yeah but I don't want to worry you. You don't need any stress now especially with the litle one inside you."

"No Alphoes you have to tell me or I won't be at ease. I can't keep on guessing and making up stories on my mind." I was dissatisfied.

"Hahaha what kind of stories do you have on your litle mind..hahaha"

"Oooow wow, are you looking down on me now? I am not stupid". I pretended to be angry but i was smiling.

Merry was a beautiful woman with light complexion. She had big round eyes and English nose. When she smiles..it was like she was advertising toothpaste company because of good white set of teeth. She could brighten up her husband day just by smiling.

Alphoes couldn't help but kissed her.

"How can I look down on my queen." He kissed her again.

"Stop fooling around Alphoes otherwise we won't be able to control the heat."

"yooooh Mrs me do want it." He said it in a teasing tone while smiling.
