Chapter Fifteen
It turned out to be more than a while. After Bruce emerged, everyone was told to wait until Sorcha was moved to a different room. They complied and were then allowed to visit with Sorcha and the nameless infant in small groups. Sorcha requested that Lacie should stay the night. She wasn’t allowed in the room but Lacie agreed to sleep in the waiting room.
When Lacie told Ryder of Sorcha’s request, he didn’t fuss, though his men did. Elijah hung around longer than everyone else but was defeated when it became obvious that Ryder and his men weren’t going to leave Lacie alone.
