Oreon Summers is the very definition of a 'model student'. He has achieved more than what a normal person his age can do - be it in academics, sports, arts, and business. His looks are nowhere below average and can be considered as one of the most wanted faces that should be printed to billboards. His perfect existence is not an exaggeration for Oreon Summers only knows how to become the Alpha.

Well, not until he met the greatest cliche on every second-rich generation stories: Marriage proposals. In order to get away with this affair, he contracted the Beast of the Campus tagged as Joaqim Salvador to become his pretend boyfriend. The latter agreed with the condition under the one-million payment every week.

Everything went well and smoothly not until one thing made things complicated: their developing feelings.

Joaqim : Why would you choose me?

Oreon : Well, good boys like bad boys too.

Someone would say that every encounter is like a knot on the threads of fate - spinning the lives of people in long strands, getting tangled in many different ways. These little intersections connected strangers together creating random stories and possibilities like how a deck of cards can be arranged in infinite probabilities. Nobody is sure who and when will the 'encounter' to happen. Amongst the millions of threads being played by the master of fates, in what probability can two strangers meet? On what chances could be that two people born from the opposite sides of the Earth will be able to reach someone one day on the streets not realizing that they were meant for each other? Luck is a great factor when it comes to impossible probabilities, while miracles are tokens of luck. The randomness of fate brought the two equations together forming a conspiracy. As what they say, everyone can have luck, but only a few could use it efficiently. And maybe, through this spell of luck, the two strangers that should have not to meet... No, they should have used up all the luck of their past lives just to meet. Though, their first encounter is not really that special. It wasn't like any of the typical romcom skits where character A 'accidentally' bumps unto character B then BAM! - they fell in love with each other! Or someone is a damsel and distress and some knight and shining armor bullshit come with all the shining, shimmering, splendid effect with some pseudo-Shakespearean comedic nonsense lines that really makes cakes more sugary - oh, diabetes. Of course, it wasn't the typical jock and nerd type of game where both were in denial of their obviously sickening love and hate relationship that always ends up with a not so welcoming but hot and brutal kiss. Though this is kind of taste is not bitter in particular, with content often filled with fluff and first loves, yet they did not have this kind of compliment. They are not also the 'childhood friend' type. Nobody is as dense as your next childhood crush, or someone in total in denial of their true feelings that might break the comfort of their friendship. If anything else, they were clear to themselves and the feelings that they had for each other. If saying thank you is easy enough after repetitive use, then confessing each day can also become a good habit. And for the last guess, they are not the 'Hey man, I love you' but the other replies, 'Man, NO HOMO' type of straight noodles and cooked noodles story. As I said, nobody is dense. Nobody will make sacrifices like crossing the seven seas or climbing Mount Everest ten times to prove their love. Or discovering some quantum mechanics matter shits just to prove that the reason why your heart is palpitating is due to heart disease - Oh. In fact, if I am to give an analogy, for example, their love is like getting robbed in the streets. Imagine a pickpocketer, going casual walking around, stealing wallets and watches from the strangers. Then, accidentally, you caught the little thief red-handed. You guys will then stare at each other, looking on each other eyes while being cautious. There is the dread of warning and nervousness that you will wonder why your heart is beating like this. It is like the suspension bridge theory - giving you the question if the reason for those palpitations were the feeling of falling in love or the result of anxiety and panic. The line separating the two ideas was too thin, almost transparent, that nobody is no longer sure about whatever is going on. Nobody can do anything about it. That's right, they were not able to do anything about it. They just meet at that point, give each other a single stare, then walk away. There were no fluctuations on the heart, not even a single change of the wind. It is just a chance encounter with a stranger - an encounter that could have not happen if not meeting the requirement of reaching that probability. A miracle that connected the two impossible strings of fate. It was just a chance encounter. But that left a deep impression on fate. It is as if they know that something was stolen inside them but they do not know what it is. By just that, the two threads of fate that only tangled once now created a story. They are already connected through origin but to be able to match each connection after birth is a miracle. That is why they must have used up all the accumulated luck of their previous lives in order to meet - the so-called fated lovers. And this is their story.
