CHAPTER 89

2 WEEKS BEFORE LUCY SABLE'S MURDER (1887)

A bell echoed all aroound the town in the west when the sun rises to the east.

Everyone woke up and everyone opens the window of their houses for the light to come inside their house.

Because the only light that supporting them is from the sun every morning.

Everyone woke up and do every chores that was assigned to them.

"Lucy!" A woman in her mid 40's shouted, calling her only daughter. The woman look back to the three man that is standing outside their door, trying to find Lucy Sable, her daughter. "Can I asks what my daughter did?" The woman asks to the three man. They all are looking tough, they all look like a person that when they say one word, you are going to obey them,, because if not, their will be consequences.

A neighing sound of horse was heard from distance, behind the three man's back.

The three gives way for the man who is riding the horse for him to face the woman.

The woman were stuttered after she saw the man who is riding the horse. She immediately fixes her dress and her hair and wipes her face using only her hand for her to clean her face and she smiled when the man is slowly walking towards her.

"Mr. Wood. What a nice surprise for you to be here." She said in her nervous tone. "Good morning to you too Celia Sable." He said with a smiled. "Is your father want something, Mr. Wood?" She asks. "My father is alright. And I am here, not by behalf of my father, but I willingly ride my horse here to see your beautiful daughter, Lucy." HE said and he bowed down to the woman.

Derick Wood is the son of Hernando Wood is one of the richest man in the town in the west, a man that everyone gives respect. Not because he earned it, but because he stole it by fear.

Hernando Wood's father is one of the founder of this land that turned into town in the west. That is why everyone fear them, they ar the richest family, and next to them is the Corazon family.

The reaosn why the Wood and COrazon family are bitter when it comes to each other, they fight, they hated each other like there will be no tomorrow for the rainbow. And n one really knows why theey hated each other, they just knew that they fight becasue they always dared each other who can be more richer in just a week.

"My daughter, Lucy Sable?" The woman asks and Derick chuckles like something is funny about what the woman just asks. "Of course Lucy. I just give you the name of the person who I want right? I mean, who do you think I am here for? Your son Victor? Victor is a man, and I am marrying a woman." HE said that makes the woman shivers after she heard what he just said. "What do you mean marrying a woman?" Celia Sable asks to Derick Wood. "I will propose to your daughter like what my father and your husband Ray arranged." HE said.

Celia were shock to the bottom of her heart after she heard what the man just said.

'Ray arranged my biological daughter to someone's son without my persmission? HOW COULD HE DO THAT! Lucy wasn't even his real daughter! How could he decide that without me?'

A sentence that is running inside Celia's mind.

"Ray arranged my daughter to marry you?" Celia asks and Derick look to her with his feared eyes. "Father says I should marry a unique girl for me to inherit the riches of my family. He is dying Celia, my father is dying, and I am his and only son. So if I can't marry someone like your daughter, then the Michael Corazon will be the next captain of this town, and I will never lost to a Corazon, never!" He said and explained at the same time to Celia Sable. "Why my Lucy? She is not unique... There are a lot of woman out there you could marry, why mine?" She asks then. "BEcasue your daughters hair is red, and no one in this town have that uniqueness. And in fact, your husband Ray accepted the 20 million euros for me to marry your daughter. And you can't get that deal out, or your family will being every penny that my father gave to your husband Ray, which is 20 million Euros."

Celia's tears starts falling to her cheeks as she finishes listening to wwhat this man is saying towards his daughter.

"Mom? Why are you calling me?" Lucy shouted and a foot step from upstairs echoed that is getting louder and louder means she is coming down from the stairs. And as she reaches the floor of where her mother is, she stops and she stares to Derick and look to ehr mother again.

"Derick? What are you doing here?" She asks. "My queen, it is time for you to marry me." He said and Lucy drop the stuff that she was holding after she heard what Derick said. "How many times do I have to tell you Derick! I am not going to marry you even if you paid Ray for Euros! HE wasn't my father so he is not going to decide how I should live! And I love someone! And that someone is not you!" Lucy shouted. "Lucy!" HEr mother stops her becasue she was afraid of what this Wood is going to do with ehr if she continues to talk back. "You mean Erick Hall? That farmer? How could you loved Erick! He is poor and he can't provide what you need! While me? I can give everything to you! In fact I am Erick too, you just hav e to add the D in front of it for me to be Derick!" HEs aid.

Lucy sigh and wipes her tears and she starts talking that makes Derick very mad.

"Erick have a good heart not like yoou! And you know what stands for your D Derick? D stands for d**k!" She said.

Derick look back to the three man he has.

"GEt her." HE said and the three trespass their house and immediately drag Lucy with them out of their hands.

Lucy starts screaming while trying to fight back, but this man is just to hard for her to ight.

Celia cried and shouted her daughters name, but it is too late, Lucy were taken away by his man, by Derick's man.

Celia just can't stop her tears and everyone were looking at the scene that they leave.

Everyone is curious about what is ahppening, and started to make rumors about what happened, even though it did not happened.

Before Derick leaves Celia alone, he stops and whispered something to her ear.

"You are invited to our wedding Celia, and it will happen next week." He said and leaves her by riding the horse and run away from her, leaving Celia dramatically crying while she was sitting down on the floor.

"Lucy..."

I wlak myself down to the hallway of this white ceiling and walls. I felt empty inside and I don't know why. Earlier, I felt like my head is so heavey due to the things that I've learned, but now, everything seems empty.

But only one word cannot be erased to my head.

Lucy.

Actually, it is not a word, bu a name, and I do not kknow why...

Why Lucy has a big part of my life. I may not know it, but I can feel it, I can see it.

While I was walking on the hallway of this floor inside the hospital, I saw a familiar face from the distance who is sitting on the wheelchair. He is drinking a water from a bottle while he was driving his own wheelchair..

He then looks at me and notice that I was looking at him,, I don't know what to do, so I juts smiled at him, thinking that evryhint will be better.

But now, it was better

I was shocked when he smiled at me after he saw me. He drove his wheelchair alone towards me and after reaching me, he loks up and smile.

"Jakcossn." He called my anme. "Ares." I said. "I did not know you will be here? I mean you are here. What's the occassion? Who are you visiting?" He asks. "A friend across this hallway." I answered his question. "And I am guessing that, that friend you are talking about, is not me." He said and I just force myself to smile, but a sad one. I felt guilty you know.

I took a deep sigh,.

"Look Ares, I am deeply sorry if your secret was exposed to the whole school. But, it was not me okay? And what are you expecting of me? I wanted to visit you everytime I amhere in the hospital, but I know you won't be happy to see me. So I choose not to." I answered him honestly.

And I am expecting an attitude towards me, but he wasn't. he did not give it to me, in fact, he just smiled.

"Look, I am sorry fro everything I said to you. It is just I was in shock on that moemnt.. I know he will be kicked out and I'll be expelled and my mind cannot handle the stress, so I blame it to you without looking at the other side of the story." EHs aid. "I may look despicable towards you, well, I am , but it was befroe when I learned what was happening outside this hospital. Those murders? Those secrets? You becoming a hero of our town? Damn Jakcons, becasue of that,, it changed me you know..." ehs aid and he look down after saying that.

I could feel that something is bothering him.

So it wasn't Gerogina who pushed him? But someone?

I mean, I know that she wasn't the only killer lurking around the town, it's just knowing thee next gender is a big deal and could help me find that person.

"I'm sorry, I don't want to talk about it anymore. I don't want to put negative memories in me when I know that this day will have a happy ending." He said. "How can you be so sure that your day will end in happiness and not in stress?" I asks him and he chuckled. "Manifest babe." HE asnwered and smile. "look Jakcosn, I appreciate if you start visiting me alright? After all, we all are friends." He said and I smiled. "Sure. I will. It's just please no hate anymore. And I am sorry about Mr. Antonio." Is aid and someone speaks behind me that makes me jump off the floor.

"Why do you feel sorry to me?" I turned around aand there I saw MR. Antonio standing wearing a formal dress. "Mr. Antonio. Hi." I said in my nervous tone. He walks towards Ares and held his shoulder. "I told you not to go anywhere." Mr Antonio said to Ares. "Sorry, I felt thirsty." He answered. "You could've just call me." He said. "You're busy."

"You know that I am not busy when it comes to you."

And after Mr. Antonio said that, I was shocked at the enxt thing they did.

They kiss! In front of me! In the lips!

I was just standing there while my mouth is shortly opened as I was shocked to what I just witnessed! They were kissing.

I thought it is just a love making scenes, like a... A date or something.

After they kissed they look at me and smiled.

"I'm sorry that you have to see that." He said, Ares said and I just raised my eyebrow and smiled. "I've watched a lot of things like that, it did not bothered me." I answered. "You're gay?" Ares asks as fast as I finished my sentence. I just smiled and say no.

"Look Jackson. I know it might seem a little weird to you, seeing your friend here kissing an adult like me, but you have to remember.."

I just smiled and I nodded. "I hope you have a happy life, both of you." I said and smiled. "I wish that too." Mr. Antonio said. "I should keep going." I said aand pointed out my way for me to excuse myself becasue it is getting awkward every time we spend time with each other. "The only pperson I knew back there is not your friend... But your enemy." Ares said that stop me from leaving them behind. I look back to face him and smiled. "Impossible things can be possible." I said and keep walking.

I felt like I used Mr. Antonio's words or sentence in a great answer lol, I coulld feel that he is smiling, Mr. Antonio.

"By the way Jackson." I heard Mr. Antonio's voice. "Mr. Corazon wants to hear from you, about the answer to his request?" He said. "I will, I will answer him if I am done figuring things out." I said.

I don't know what happened back in Lucy's days.

Or on how did Katahrina's family got involved to her murder.

And why did his own brother hated her? WHy Victor Sable killed her?

I don't understand.

What is the Woods, Corazons, and my family conneciton to Lucy's death?

How did my dead dead dead relatives back in 1887 become a serial killer?

I keep walking and walking on the hallway when the lights start flickering. I don't know what is happening but I felt dizzy every time I take a step forwards. Like the same feeling that I am having earlier.

When someone hold me down and I heard his voice asking if I am alright.

"Sir, are you alright? Do you need any medical attention?" As I lift my head, I saw the nurse face, I do not know him, but I felt like I do know him.

And then, that is when I saw him.

"what do you want from me Derick?!" Lucy shouted as she was being tied down on the chair inside a room with a bed on the side.

She tries to fight back, but she couldn't. The two man who dragged her out of their house is the same two man that is tying her up.

"Are you alright?" Derick asks, but not in a sincere way, in a mocking way actually.

"What is it do you want Derick? Why are you tying me down? What did I do wrong to you fro me to accept this fate that I am having right now?" Lucy asks.

Derick walks away from ehr and dragged a chair around the corner in front of Lucy and he sat down there and smile.

"You my lady, will be marrying me next week. I will be a king, and you will be a... Queen. Too sad, but only for Queen of chores." He said and laughed like there is somethng very funny to waht he said. "I will never be your wife! And I did not agree to Marry you! So stop possessing over me! Alright? Stop it! Becasue no matter how hard you try, I will enver love you Derick! Never!"

And after that she felt soomething heavy hit her cheeks. And it was Derick slapping ehr after she talks back.

"NO woman should be talking back to a man like that! Don't yo remmeber that woman cannot speak it's mind? So how are you so confident about talking abck to me huh?" Derick asks and he immediately pulled Lucy's jaw towards her, holding it so tight that Lucy couldn't move her own mouth.

"you will marry me no matter what, have chiild with me, and in the end we will be a happy family." Derick said and he puts his lips aginst to Lucy and start kissing it, licking it and Lucy tried to stop him, but he is a man, he has a lot of strength more than a woman can ever have.

They seperated their lips and smiled.

"You can't do anyting about, since your father already agreed to it, he already uses the million euros that we used to buy you!" Derick said and he stood up.

Lucy couldn't stop her tears form falling down, she is so lost, so hopeless, thinking that no one could ever saved her frm this evil man in front of her.

"Be pretty, becasue tomorrow, you will be having dinner wiht my family. Be etiquette woman, becasue father never tolerate that kind of behaviour you are showing to me right now." He said before he opens the door giving his man a sign that they should take care of Lucy. But before he closes the door, Lucy read a sign from outside the room.

'West Medical Centre'

And after that, Derick closes the door, leaving her and the two man alone.

Lucy couldn't stop crying...

She doesnt know what she did wrong for her to deserved these things that is going on with her now.
