Joon chapter 6

645 Words
Joon stood up. “I should go. I don’t want Grandma to worry.” Sera nodded, standing as well. “Yeah. Don’t make her worry.” He hesitated. “…Can I have your number?” Sera looked at him for a second—then smiled. “Of course.” She took his phone, typed it in, and handed it back. “Thanks.” Joon stepped toward the door. “I’ll see you around.” “Take care, Joon.” And as he stepped out into the damp, quiet world after the rain… He realized something. He wasn’t just thinking about getting home anymore. He was already thinking about coming back. As soon as Joon got home, his grandmother rushed to greet him, her face still full of worry. “Joon, thank goodness you’re okay, but—” her eyes immediately dropped to his injured knee. “What happened to your leg? Did you fall?” Her voice grew even more anxious. “It’s okay, Grandma. Sera already treated it,” Joon reassured her quickly. “Oh, she’s so thoughtful,” his grandmother said, visibly relieved. Then suddenly, her expression lit up as if she had an idea. “I should make something for her as a thank-you for helping you.” “I’ll deliver it later,” Joon said right away, a little too enthusiastically. “But your leg is hurt.” “It’s just a scrape. I can still walk just fine. Besides, Sera still needs to treat my wound,” he added, giving his grandmother a playful wink—clearly hinting that she should agree. His grandmother chuckled. “Oh, you… Joon. Well, it just so happens we’re out of wound medicine at home.” She winked back, amused, and decided to go along with his plan. “I’m really tired. I’m going to take a shower and go straight to bed. Good night, Grandma,” Joon said as he headed toward his room. “Good night. Get some rest.” After showering and changing into clean clothes, Joon lay down on his bed. But sleep didn’t come. Instead, he grabbed his phone and opened his social media. He uploaded a few photos from earlier at the hill, adding a simple caption: “Mesmerized.” He could already imagine the chaos it would cause among fans—everyone guessing what he meant. As usual, he locked the comments and private messages so only his group members could reach him. But to Joon, the meaning was clear. He was mesmerized. By Sera. “How is that even possible…?” he muttered softly. He buried his face into his pillow, embarrassed. “When I saw her lips… that almost happened…” He groaned, pressing the pillow harder against his face. “Wait… I think she said she’s going to Seoul. But when? I didn’t even dare to ask.” He sighed, staring up at the ceiling now. “It might be hard to see her again… How long am I supposed to hold onto this feeling?” Curiosity. Excitement. That strange flutter in his chest. He wanted to understand it all. “And Jay… I feel like I’ve heard that name before. But where?” Joon frowned slightly. “What kind of problem does he have with Sera…?” Before anything had even happened, a small spark of jealousy had already begun to grow inside him. “Hopefully it’s nothing serious…” He picked up his phone again, scrolling aimlessly—until a headline caught his attention. A meteor shower would be visible tomorrow night. Joon’s eyes widened. “Wow… a meteor shower. It would look amazing from that hill,” he murmured, already imagining it. He quickly checked the weather forecast. Clear skies. No rain. A small smile formed on his lips. “Should I invite Sera…?” he wondered, hesitating for a moment.
