Chaper 1: Majesty Allure
It was a cold evening, dreamy grey sky with fast moving clouds. Rain quietly danced off of my face as I walked around in my father's garden. I loved this type of weather, I thought to myself breathing deeply to savor the moment.
I heard a loud crash come from within our cottage. I jumped startled by the noise and shouts that came immediately after. "For f***s sake Mirage, pick your s**t up once in a while?!", I heard my father yelling at my brother. I quickly walked back inside.
"What happened? ", I asked as I peered through the back doorway. My father kneeled over rubbing his toes and a bewildered Mirage was the scene before me.
"You kids always leaving your stuff lay around, is what happened!" I looked at my father annoyed. "I'm not a child.", I reminded him again for the fifteenth time today. He looked pissed and I didn't care. I was always getting yelled at for things that didn't involve me directly. My father quickly stood up, "You know what!?", he began to say as someone started pounding on our front door.
Mirage and I both jumped, no one ever comes to our home. Who could be banging on the door like that. Beside the three of us our mother lived here to but she was usually at work until 6:00p.m. My Father looked at us a fleeting moment of what I thought was fear gleamed in his eye. I got nervous. I've never seen my Father with that look before.
*BAM!*BAM!*BAM!*
It happened again. "I'M COMING!", my Dad roared at the top of his lungs. Mirage took off up the stairs.
I stood there frozen, still in thought of who it could be. My Father opened the door to a tall man with broad shoulders and ice white hair. "Sir?", my Father sounded shaky.
"Malice.", this man said my Father's name in such a way that I felt the hair on my skin standing on edge. I felt a fear in the pit of my chest I've never known, and since when the hell did my Father address anyone as Sir?
"Majesty, take yourself upstairs with your brother, I need a moment with our guest.", my Dad sneered over his shoulder to me. He has always prepped me for a situation like this, however I never knew why. Knowing exactly what to do I ran up the steps searching for Mirage. I found him in my parents room peering out from the closet. "Let's go." I whispered. He slowly came out and started across the floor. Yells came from downstairs, trying to ignore it I went to my room and out the back window that led down a staircase to the garden below. Once in the garden we both peeled off out of the gate to the field behind our home. There was a small shed in the mountain were we were alway told to go until we were retrieved. We headed straight there .

It was a cold dreary afternoon, the kind with fast moving clouds and rain slowly falling from the sky. I sat in my one of my family's living rooms in our ridiculously large home. "Phoniex!", my ma called. "Phoenix your Dad needs you."
When doesn't he need me I thought to myself annoyed. My father was the White Moon Pack's Alpha, a title I would one day soon hold. However I felt that day was never coming.
Pack rules state, in order for the next alpha to ascend he must have his mate and mark her. I was 20. Still haven't found my mate. I walked to the kitchen from where my Ma called. "Where's old man at?", I asked in a calm tone. She had a nervous look in her face. My mother was usually a very calm women so this look bothered me. She stood there five foot five, with shimmery brown skin and ice white hair. Dark brown eyes looking up at mine. My mother was gorgeous part of the reason why I was handsome, because the fates know my Father was not so lucky.
"Phoenix!" My mom snapped. Pulling me out of my thought I asked her again where Dad was. She pointed to the back rooms where the packs held official meetings. I have never been asked to attend a meeting before. I smiled hopeful that maybe today would be the day they finally decide me to lead. I stepped eagerly into the office.
Sharp white light blinded me. My mother insisted om having those LED light bulbs in any office in the house. She said any place were business is done needs to be illuminated to bring the most positivity in all outcomes. My Dad dared not argue with his Luna in her house. I stood a few steps in waiting to be invited to sit down. I wasn't. Son, this is Valary, head witch of Coven White Flame. I remember meeting her briefly a few times before. I smiled warmly towards her and nodded my head. She didn't look pleased. My Dad sighed. "Forgive him Val he hasn't been brought to terms with how to greet outside of the pack." I put my head down. Certain thing didn't need to be taught until I had my mate. "Nevermind, that is the reason we are here today anyway." She said highly. I looked on confused. What could a witch know about a werewolf's mate?
She glided over to me swiftly and took held me by my shoulders. Her touch shocked me, a mixture of calm and humor washed over me. These witches were not to be toyed with my mother always said, they're severely strong. A reason why we had made a alliance with their coven. Her eyes where vibrant green and she had flaming red hair. She smiled ruefully at me and said, " Future Alpha Phoneix DeLeur of the White Moon Pack, my sisters and I have a lead as to who may be your mate!"
