Charpter One_Contrat For Love
The sun was shining brightly, the birds were singing, and the flowers were blooming. It was the perfect day for a wedding. But for Allison, it was anything but perfect. She was standing at the altar, her hands trembling as she held the bouquet of flowers. She had agreed to marry Jack, a wealthy business person she had met just a few months before. The contract was simple - he would provide her with a life of luxury, and in return, she would be his wife in name only.
But as she looked into his eyes, she knew that something was wrong. There was no love in his gaze, only cold calculation. She felt like a piece of property, being sold to the highest bidder. And yet, she had agreed to the contract. She had believed that this was the best way to escape her poverty and achieve the life she had always dreamed of.
But now, as she stood there, about to say her vows, she knew she couldn't go through with it. There was no way she could spend the rest of her life with a man who didn't love her. She took a deep breath, and prepared to make the most difficult decision of her life.
Just as the minister began to ask Allison to say her vows, she stopped him. "I can't do this," she whispered. Jack's eyes widened in surprise, and the minister looked at her with confusion. The guests were shocked into silence. But Allison didn't care. She couldn't go through with this farce of a marriage. She turned to the man who was supposed to be her husband and said, "I'm sorry, but I can't marry you. I don't love you, and I can't pretend that I do. This isn't what I want for my life."
As the words left her lips, she felt a sense of relief wash over her. It was like a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. Jack was silent for a moment, his face an unreadable mask. Then, he spoke. "I understand," he said, his voice even. "I knew this was a risk when I proposed the contract. I respect your decision."
With that, he turned and left the church, leaving Allison standing alone at the altar. She took a deep breath and looked out at the guests. Their faces were a mixture of shock, confusion, and pity. But for the first time in a long time, Allison felt free.
The next few days were a blur for Allison. She returned to her tiny apartment, her belongings sparse and worn. She had never been ashamed of her simple life before, but now she felt like she had been living a lie. She had thought that money and status were the answer to her problems, but she realized that they were only an illusion. Real happiness came from within, and she had been searching for it in all the wrong places. She sat on her bed, her head in her hands, and wondered what to do next.
Then, she heard a knock at the door.
She got up and opened the door to find Jack standing there, a small bouquet of flowers in his hand. "I know I can't change your mind," he said, "but I wanted to apologize for the way I treated you. I shouldn't have put you in that position. I'm sorry for taking advantage of your situation." Allison looked at him, surprised by his apology. "I appreciate that," she said, "but I still can't be in a relationship with you. I just can't." Jack nodded, and for a moment, they simply stood there, looking at each other.
Then, he handed her the flowers. " Take care of yourself, Allison," he said, and then he turned and walked away. She closed the door, holding the flowers close to her chest. It was the first time someone had given her flowers, and even though they came from a man she couldn't be with, they made her feel special. She placed them in a vase and looked around her apartment. It was still small and simple, but now it felt like a home.
She had a new sense of purpose, and she knew what she had to do next. She picked up her phone and dialed a number.
"Hello, this is Allison," she said when the person on the other end picked up. "I'm calling to inquire about your fashion design program. I'm ready to start my journey to becoming a designer." The voice on the other end was friendly and encouraging. "We'd be happy to have you, Allison. We'll help you achieve your dreams. Are you ready to get started?"
Allison smiled, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. "I'm ready," she said, and the journey of a lifetime began.
After Allison's call to the design school, she sat down at her small kitchen table and pulled out a notebook and pen. She began to sketch out some designs, letting her creativity flow. As she drew, she felt her worries and insecurities melt away. In that moment, she was exactly where she was meant to be. After a few hours of drawing, she looked up at the clock and realized it was getting late.
But as she went to bed, she felt a sense of peace and satisfaction that she hadn't felt in a long time.
The next day, Allison went to her job at the diner, but she couldn't stop thinking about her sketches. Her mind was filled with ideas and inspiration. But as she worked, she felt a wave of sadness wash over her. She knew that she couldn't stay at the diner forever. She had to follow her dreams, even if it meant taking a risk.
As the day went on, she began to make a plan. She would save up as much money as she could, and then she would apply to the design program. She would make her dreams a reality,no matter what. But then, as she was taking an order from a customer, she felt
a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see Jack standing there, a smile on his face. "What are you doing here?" she asked, her heart racing. "I just wanted to check in on you," he said. "I heard you were planning on applying to a design program. Is that true?"
Allison felt a lump in her throat. She wasn't sure how to answer him. "It's just something I'm thinking about," she said, her voice shaky. "I think that's great," Jack said.
"You have so much talent, and you deserve to have the chance to pursue your passion. I can help you, if you want." Allison's heart was pounding. She didn't know what to say. On the one hand, she was grateful for Jack's offer of help.
But on the other hand, she knew that she couldn't accept his help without strings attached. She had to do this on her own. "Thank you, but I need to do this on my own," she said, her voice firm. Jack looked surprised, but he nodded. "I understand," he said.
"But if you ever need anything, I'm here for you." Those words meant more to Allison than Jack could ever know. For the first time, she felt like she had someone in her corner. She felt a little lighter as she went back to work. And that night, as she lay in bed, she made a promise to herself. She would follow her dreams, no matter what. And with Jack's words echoing in her head, she finally felt like she could do it.
