CHAPTER 5 : [ AYLA'S POV ]

I sat in the assembly , it was supposed to start by now . I took my phone out and looked at some art designs. '' Don't kill me , I'm sitting here ! ''  the voice belonged to none other then Matthew '' why don't you sit with your loser of a friend ''  '' you're right but I want to sit with you ! ''  '' Why am I so surprised ! ''  I rolled my eyes .

The assembly began and they started declaring the prefects  , head boy and head girl . Alyssa became the head boy and Noah was the head boy '' couldn't they have chosen somebody else for the position of head boy ! ''  '' who do you have in mind ? ''  I look at Matthew '' how about Marcus Lazar ? '' Matthew grits his teeth '' why him ? ''  '' he has excellent leadership skills and his a pretty good guy . ''  '' If you knew him , you wouldn't say that ! ''  '' I'm not going to judge a book by its cover! ''

Assembly ended and I went to my locker and took out my books for the day - I heard these girls whispering so I leaned in closer to my locker to hear what they were saying '' Alayna ruined it for Ayla, she could of been a prefect ! ''  '' how does Alyssa deal with those 2 sluts ! '' I couldn't take it anymore , I banged my locker close. Everyone in the hall looked at me - I walked up to the girls and gave them a piece of my mind  " if you want to gossip about someone why don't  you do it where you can't be heard" the girls started walking backwards to escape but I appeared in front of them '' I'm not finished , you don't speak about my sister like that , if you want to blame someone - blame me alone . You guys may be Alyssa's best friends but remember something it won't stop me from hurting you guys " I stepped closer to them  "'physically , emotionally , spiritual even sexually ! if becoming  prefect means becoming b*tches like yourself I rather stay without the title ! ''   '' AYLA COOPER , DETENTION THIS AFTERNOON ! '' I walked to the principal " detention is not going to make or break me Principal Jane but there is something you could do  for me , why don't you call up the guidance counsellor - I'll be waiting for the announcement!"

I was beyond furious '' Ayla wait up ! ''   '' don't start Matthew , just don't!  '' I went to the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror - tears were starting to form . I closed my eyes and took deep breaths in and out . I walked out of the bathroom and entered my English class - Jessica stopped reading and everybody looked at me , I took the novel from the teacher '' Miss Cooper I didn't know you would be attending ! ''  I looked at him and offered him a small smile '' education is important but I have to say their will be a lot of b*tches in this world and we have to live with it by moving forward , for instance like learning , educating ones self ! ''  The teacher looked impressed with my answer and gave me a form .

I sat down in my seat , the players distanced themselves from me a little bit . I looked at the form - it was for a debating team . '' Hey Jessica , when does this start ? ''  '' after school ! '' '' okay thanks ! ''  '' So now you're interested in learning ?! ''    '' what do you mean Noah ? ''  '' oh you should know! ''  '' you know what , Noah go screw yourself ! ''
