Animal Spirit: The Deer

The fur and hooves

I don't know where I'm running, how long or how far. I just run not looking back, my lungs are killing me, my legs feel likes jelly. "I can't no more, I need to stop", I try to catch my breath slowing down. "NO, we have to keep running, " the voice says. I sigh and keep running. After while, that feels like eternity, I hear a water in the distance, as I reach it I slow down. I lean over the water and stare at my reflection. "So, it wasn't a pipedream...", I look into big round eyes, that are dark brown, trying to absorb what happened. 

Milions of thought are running through my head. How is it even possible to shift like this? " It's because you have me, your animal spirit.." , the voice says calmly, " you know how werewolves have their inner wolf, to guide them and help them? You have me.. " . " No that's not possible, the werewolves aren't real.. ", I try to deny it, but deep inside me I know it's true and I feel like I found the part of me, that I was always missing. Still staring at the reflection I just ask, " Who are you?" I try to focus on the voice viewing little light brown muzzle and snow white fur. " Yes hun, werewolves are real... My name is Lara and as I already  said I'm your Animal spirit, your guide, your helper and i hope a friend too." 

" There she is!!" , I hear a familiar voice behind me. I turn around, " Damn!" we both say at the same time as I see two familiar men running towards me. I immediately jump across the stream and run away from them. I'm trying to zigzag  to get rid of them, when I suddenly hear a loud roar behind me.  I turn my head and open my eyes  wide in surprise. Instead of two men, I can see two huge black wolves catching up on me. I pick up all my power left and speed up. Suddenly I trip over a branch and fall to the ground. Before I can stand up, the wolves jump right next to me to surround me. " Hello little one!", the one says with something that  look like a grin on his face. " Please, let me be. I don't know what do you want from me",  I look at them with my eyes wide open with fear. " All we want is you, little one", says the second one, " you'll be a beautiful bride for our lord", they look at each other nodding. I use this opportunity to escape, quickly standing up I start running again deeper to the forest. I try to ignore the pain in my leg, I must have hurt it when I tripped over that branch.. 

I run as fast as I can, but I'm still too slow, they catch me up  really easily. One of them jump on me making me fall to the ground. I whine in pain feeling his fangs ripping my skin open.  Trying to break free I kick all around me,  I feel the fangs digging deeper and deeper into my skin. " Hey, he told us to not hurt her!" the second wolf yells and knock the first one down off me,  they start fighting, rolling on the ground together, growling at each other. I try to stand up, but my back legs are ripped, the blood is dripping to the ground. I give up and start crawling instead of running, I look around to find some place to hide. Finally I see a big bush and right behind him forest road. 

I look behind me, thank god they are still fighting! I hide under the branches, when suddenly I can hear voices coming from the road. " Did you hear that? Who's there?!?", I hear from the road. Should I come out? Will they help me or chase me too?
