Animal Spirit: The Deer

I walk down the stairs still in my PJ yawning and rush to the kitchen to prepare myself a cup of tea. As i enter the door to the kitchen I get hit with a confetti. "Happy birthday!!!", my parents yell cheerfully throwing the confetti all over me. " You're crazy, people!", I burst into laugh. " Well you're turning 18, we need to celebrate it!", My dad chuckle and lead me to our dinning table set for a breakfast. I sit behind the table " So what is the schedule for the celebration?", I ask my parents while putting some pancakes on my plate and pouring a sirup on them. " After breakfast we're going on a trip!", My mom says excitedly smiling. " Where are we going?", I ask her taking a big bite of the pancakes. " That's a surprise, my dear! We will be going right after you change", add my dad. I quickle finish my meal, " I'll be right back!" I run out of the kitchen to my room hearing my parents laughing behind me " You don't have to hurry so much!" my mom shout behind me still laughing.   I open the door quickly making a cat, that slept on my bed, jumping into air. "I'm sorry Kitty, we're going on a trip with my parents, they have a big surprise for me and I can't wait to see what it is!" I chuckle and pet her gently. " I know, I know, I' ve heard them talking about it" she stretchs her back slowly yawning. " No way, tell me!!" I say while changing into skinny jeans and black t- shirt. " No, it's supposed to be a surprise", she says and walk casually out of my room. I know what you think right now, " This girl must be crazy pretending a whole conversation with animals and to be honest my parents and sometimes even myself thought I'm a bit crazy too, but it didn't took me long to relise, that I can actually speak to animals.   I sigh and walk out of my room heading towards the stairs, when suddenly I can hear a voices coming from the entrance door. " Get out of the way, or things will get ugly!", some man says angrily.  I froze in a doorway to my room confused what's happening, when the strangest thing happened. I felt heat and shivering coming up through my body and for the first time in my life I felt complete, when suddenly somewhere deep in my mind a strange voice appeared. " Quickly we have to hide!" the voice says, for the moment I thought -This is it, I'm oficially a crazy person. "No, you're not. I'll explain all of this later, but now hide!" the voice says again calmly. Still confused I hide  listening to the conversation. " I'm asking one more time, where is she?" I froze again, are they talking about me? " She's out with her friends." My mom says calmly. " Nonsense, I can smell her here! You know the deal, He wants his bride and since the first one escaped, it's only fair if he gets a refund" another man say annoyed. I still hide behind the railing listening carefully. " She's upstairs isn't she?" The man continues, " Maybe we should just go to get her and stop wasting time with you two losers!" , he growls the last few worlds, I peek out from behind the railing to see muscular men standing on the doorway, one of the make a step to enter, but my  dad push him away, "Don't you dare try to enter my house!", he says angrily, the man grins, he quickly steps inside and pins my dad to the wall punching him into face.  I run downstairs as fast as I can, " Hey! Leave him be!" I yell at the man looking at my dad, who bleeds from his nose. "Well, well.. Here she is!"  man's mouth spread into a nasty grin when he sees me, he let go of my dad leting him fall to the ground. " Come here little kitty!" the other man laughs and walks towards me. "Let her be!", my dad stands quickly trying to stop him, they start fighting. The second man reaches for me. "No!" my mom make few quick steps to stop the man.  "Run!" she yells at me, I look at her confused deciding on what to do. "Just run!!" my mom yells again. " We have to go!" says the voice, " I can't just leave them here!" I try to argue with the voice. " You have to, we need to run away now!". I look at my parents one last time an run towards the back door. As I reach the back doors I start feeling dizzy, suddenly i feel a big wave of power running through my veins. I look behind me seeing the men rushing towards. Feeling the heat rising I jump out of the back doors and land on the porch,when i realise, that something seems off, I look down at my feet and froze in shock. Suddenly I hear a loud bang behid me, " Damn, they're coming!". I start running towards the woods and deep into them not looking around or behind me. I feel really weird, but right now I can't focus on that,  the only thing I have to do is running for my life.
