Arthemis P.O.V
I waked up and notice Pho standing beside my bed. For a split of a second I would said I saw her face concerned. But now she looks at me with neutral face and eyes that didn't show any emotions. "Hey, I'm Phosphora, but everyone calls me Pho. How do you feel?" she looks at me. "Like after car accident", I chuckle nervously. Her eyes pierced me with hard look. "I'm Arthemis, everyone used to call me Arte or Temi," I look at her apologetically. " We should talk about what happened," she slid the chair closer to the bed and sits down. I told her the whole story , although I try to not cry,but the memory of my parents fighting the rogues make me hide my face in my palms sobbing. I feel the matress bend as Pho sits down on the bed next to me and simply just hug me tightly and for oddly reason I felt strange bond between us. But as fast as she hugged me she stands up. " Uhm, I have to go.. Azu will bring you something to eat" , she said and rush out of the room. I look behind her confused, I swear I saw a tears running down her face.
I couldn't stop thinking about it, she seems so distant, so cold and then she just hug me like that.. But the flow of my thoughts is interrupted by Azu knocking on the doors. " Come in!" , I say forcing my mind to focus. " Hi there!" Azu says and smile brightly, " I brought you something to eat," she set a big tray with food on the bed side table. " I don't think we introduce yet. I'm Azu. How are you feeling? " she looks at me and sits down on the chair. " I'm Arthemis, " I smile at her, " and I feel much better thank you." " That's good to hear, you looked terrible to be honest," she chuckles. " I bet I did," I chuckle too. "Would you mind, if i ask you where are we?", I look at her curiously. " Of course I wouldn't mind!" she chuckles, " After what happened, we took you to our mansion, to treat your wounds and to keep you safe. You don't have to worry, the chasers won't be able to find you here. The mansion is magicaly protected and well guarded," She smiles brightly. I look at her confused, magicaly protected? Who are these people? Although who am I to judge, I just changed into deer and back...
" From your face I assume, you're pretty new to all of this, aren't you? " she looks at me as I nod. I told her everything, that happened today. " Wow, that must be shock for you! But don't worry we will help you as much as we can!" she smiles at me. " Thank you so much. How many people live here?" I look at her curiously. " " Well, that's a good question,but I don't really know," she chuckles, " around 20? But it could be more. We are all special in our own ways. Some of us are hiding from rogues, that keep following them. But all of us are outsiders in a human world. But here we can be ourselves.
For example Brandon,thanks to him we can live here in peace. He was an Alpha of Eclipse pack, but his Beta betrayed him and he needed to run away. He used fortune of his family and build this mansion to help creatures in same situation. He is still Alpha in some way, except that his pack is not full of wolves, but full of many different creatures. " She chuckles. " Wel, but now you need to eat something and rest a bit, they got you pretty bad. We can talk tomorrow," she stands up and heads towards the door. " Thank you so much Azu," I smile at her. " Oh you're very welcome hun, it's good to have some fresh meat here," she winks at me chuckling and walks out of the room leaving me with my thoughts.
