Demon girl

Part 3 chapter 2

As everyone is together we meet at the park we usually did. “So we are going to start answering questions and you guys will go ONE at a time,” I said sitting down. As we sit in a circle Cassie starts to ask the first question. 

“How did you get here? And how long did it take?” she asks. 

“Flying and 2 hours,” I reply smiling with accomplishment. They gasp at the amount of time it took. 

“How is your new place? Where do you live?” Cierra asks. I answer hers and the rest of the ones asked soon afterwards.

“Emma… has- has any other fights happen?” Maddie asks. It was the first time she spoke since we got her. I stop, realizing she was worried I killed someone else. I know she has been scared of me since the fight but I didn't know I left that effect on her. I smile at her. 

“One big fight but nobody was killed. But… I almost was.” I trail off remembering my almost death experience. 

“Emma, What? How?” she continues. I show her the scars from the fight and hide my face. 

“I'm okay but I am kinda mentally scarred from the fight.” They all hug me and smile. 

“It’s okay Emma were all here for you… but, where's Star?” my eyes open with fright forgetting what I did to Devon and Jason. I look around frantically hoping she is okay scared devon and Jason had her. 

“I'm right here!” she calls, coming out from an alleyway with a hand full of snacks. I sigh remembering everything and smile back at her. Remembering more and more I look away with regret. Once I blocked it all out I look back and smile at her. 

“Guys I did have a question for you…” I say getting their attention. “What happened to Ava?” We saw her on our way up but she looked like she was up to something.” they all looked at each other and sighed. 

“Emma I hoped you would never get into this but Ava has started an organization to either kill you or get rid of your demon side,” Cassie said looking away. My mind goes blank as the others look at me. I smile at them trying not to cry. 

“Heh, it’s okay. right? it will all be alright…” I mumble starting to cry. Maddie hugs me but I push her away, transform and then fly off. In tears, I fly on top of our old house and sit there. 

“How? How could she do that to us? It will get Star hurt too, and something is bound to go wrong.” I look down at the bracelet Maddie gave to me. “Oh my god… what have I done.” I looked back at the park where I could see them all talking. I break down in tears again knowing I probably hurt her being stronger than most. I opened my wings and as I was about to take off I realized…

I was in my full demon form. They have never seen me this way before, I stop thinking about it again and rushed back. Tears streaming down my face I hug Maddie and apologize. She looked at me shocked and as I look around, they all were, even Star. “oh! Heh, sorry. This is my true form. I never really liked showing it but I guess I just forgot to change back. A second goes by as I transform back including my wings. I felt bad for them all having to see me like that.  “I'm really sorry if I hurt you, Maddie. I just kinda lost control… again.” she smiled at me showing she wasn't disappointed. 

“It’s okay Emma. I'm not hurt just scratched up but I'm okay.” she understood how I reacted knowing a good friend backstabbed me and is now trying to kill me! I hug her and the others start questioning me on my full demon form. As I answer them I started getting more and more comfortable around them, smiling more and more with every question.

“So Ava is trying to kill me?” I ask looking away from the others. 

“Yeah and I guess she isn't alone anymore too. And if you wanted to know she started this ever since the big fight.” Maddie said. I smile seeing she gave me more information than I needed. 

“Thank you… hey, do any of you have a phone?” I ask. Cierra gives me hers and I call Ira. the first time she does not answer and I call her again. She does this time but after a couple of rings.

 “hey, Ira!” I say as she answers the phone “Emma? Hi!! So how is it there? What are your friends like?” she rambles. I laugh at her and start to ask her my own questions. 

“Ira I need to ask an important question!” I yell getting her to shut up. I snicker and began talking again. “Ok so I found out that one of my old friends, Ava, is in an organization to try and kill me.” she goes silent. Ira would usually freak out so I knew something was wrong. I take a minute to think.

 “You're in the organization aren't you?” I ask with a sigh. She quietly says yes on the other end of the phone. “Don't worry I would never have gone through with the plan since you saved me!” she said. 

“I know… Hey, I got a cool idea! Maybe you could be like a spy and actually help me!” I say smiling. I could tell she smiled back, knowing she could make up for it. 

“I can’t talk right now though so we would have to talk another time. And I totally agree that I could be a spy for you!” she finished. We both said goodbye and hung up the phone.

My smile fades as I look into how many things could go wrong. I hand back Cierra’s phone and look at them. “Well, I will be getting more information now…” I say with a fake smile. Not being able to hold the smile it fades. 

“What do you mean?” Cierra asks. I tell them about how Ira is in the organization and then go on to how she could help me. They all smiled with me knowing I can get out of all this trouble.
