Zach carried Miley near the cliff. "Leave me! Let go of me!" Miley struggled to set her wrist free from Zach's clutch as he dragged her towards the edge. "You said you would go with me, you promised to listen to me," he dragged her mercilessly. "It hurts! Besides, you failed to save my mother. I need to find her, dad is in trouble too, I can't just leave like this! Let me go!" She said, sharply. She jerked off Zach's arms and ran in the direction of woods, panting, she ran as fast as she could. Just when she was about to dash into the woods, Zach's chain surrounded her, she stopped and tried to dodge them but they stopped her. "Lemme go!" Zach slowly approached, "I never expected you to change anyways. It would have been a surprise if you listened to me obediently. If I will have to take you by force then let it be so," he stepped closer to Miley as she shifted back until her back struck against the chains arranged like a net in mid-air. "What do you keep on blabbering? When did we meet before? I don't know you?" "You don't know me," Zach kept on decreasing the proximity between them, "how dare you not know me? How dare you forget everything you did to me? Your betrayals, your loathe, your every word is still fresh within me. How dare you not remember me?" He was about to touch Miley's chin when something wrapped around his wrist and pulled it back. He parried and shifted back. "Dad!" Miley shouted and was about to run towards Delan when the chains caged her within them. Delan had a small spellbook in his hand and a shining ribbon that he used to cast those spells. Zach chuckled, "do you think you can defeat me with that fragile elementary level magic? What goes on in your head, humans?" Tragon jumped over Delan appearing out of darkness and lunged towards Zach. Although Zach didn't see it coming he swiftly dodged him, "playing petty tricks with me! You fools don't even make me laugh now. I have had enough, I am not going to waste my time on you two anymore," Zach looked at Miley who was trying to break through the chain cage. He curled his finger in the air as if he was holding an imaginary wand, creating strong gushes that almost blew away Tragon and Delan to the edge of the cliff. "STOP! STOP! PLEASE STOP!" Miley screamed restlessly moving inside the chain cage. "Why should I? I don't care about them, once they die my path to you will be clear…" "NO! I WILL HATE YOU!" Zach burst out laughing, "will hate me? You don't hate me right now? I am k********g you, ain't I? You should hate me, I want you to hate me. And I abhor you, even more, Iris!" "Who is Iris? You keep on saying, Iris! I am not her, you got the wrong people!" Miley shouted. "There's no point talking to you with those broken memories of yours…" Tragon growled and lunged towards Zach again, Zach glared at him and in the next seconds one of Zach's chains slammed him on the ground, "it's getting irritating now." Light started emitting from the chain setting Tragon on fire. "TRAGON!" Delan and Miley shouted together. Just then uncountable shadows came in the area, creeping on the ground, arising from the ground a few put off Tragon's fire and set him free while the rest surrounded Delan. Reflexly, Delan shifted back trying to avoid the dark creatures. "Stop! Don't touch my dad! You are here for me, right? Kill me! Get this done! Spare my dad, please!" Miley fell on her knees on the ground, sobbing continuously. "No, Miley!" Delan looked at her with pitiable eyes. "Try touching her and you will seize existence the very next second," Zach's eyes and skin were glowing white, his cloak floating in the air because of his aura. The shadows shifted back from Miley and lunged on Delan as they fell off the cliff with him. "Dad!" Miley rose, chains stopping her again, "LEAVE MY DAD ALONE!" Her voice became heavy as if it was echoing, the chains loosened for a few seconds. Taking this opportunity she jumped off the cliff to save her father, so did Tragon to save her. Zach calmed down, his chains went after Miley and saved her while Delan and Tragon fell in the water with the shadows. "No! Dad! Tragon!" Miley looked at them drowning in the roaring waves hitting the cliff stuck in mid-air. Zach flew to her, held her hand, placed his hand around her waist and pulled her closer, "what do you want! Let me go!" She glared at Zach. "And what will you do if I don't," Zach clenched his jaws. "I will rather die saving my family than life," Miley said. Zach widened his eyes, he remembered the time when Iris said something similar, smirking he said, "I can't define the limits of my hatred for you, Iris. Go!" He left Miley and she fell from the midair into the ocean. What the hell am I doing? Why does it have to be her? Why all of all creatures, her? It's getting on a very dangerous level, I might lose my self-control, he clenched his fist and jumped into the ocean too. The largest waterfall portal existing between these worlds is in this ocean, just you wait Iris. I will make you pay, he drowned deeper into the ocean swimming to Miley who was sinking lifelessly to the ocean floor. Everything happened in slow motion for Miley. All she remembered before passing out was Zach swimming to her, her body feeling his warmth in the cold, dark and deep ocean. Millions of bubbles escaped her mouth as water entered her body. "Iris, hold me tight," she heard someone voice echo in her brain. ••• "Princess Iris, hold my hand and come out," Miley saw herself fallen in a shallow fountain, she was looking at herself but in a different world and body. The only thing that bothered her was the wings attached to her younger self. Princess Iris? This is what he keeps on calling me, Miley thought as she continued watching the two. Young Iris held young Zach's hand and got out of the fountain drenched. "My wings are wet too, they feel heavy," Iris looked at Zach with her deep blue eyes. "My princess doesn't need to worry, my chains can dry them in seconds," Zach's small chains surrounded Iris' relatively huge wings and produced squalls that dried her wings and clothes. Amazed, she looked at Zach, "how did you do it?" Young Iris asked. "Shh. Princess, keep it a secret between us. We slave wizards are not allowed to learn magic. If the queen and king angel came to know about it, they might punish me," Zach said looking at the ground covered with thick grass. They were in the royal garden behind the palace where only royal kids were allowed to play. "Iris! What are you doing with this slave kid again? Don't you know bringing them here is not allowed," Miley saw another angel with conspicuous wings fly to the two? "Crown prince Eden," Zach got on his knees, bowing. "Brother, he is under my service. I can take him wherever I want, he is mine," little Iris said, stepping between Eden Scintilla and Zach. "Huh! You shouldn't let lowers like them touch you," Eden frowned. "He's my friend, you should talk to him in this tone," Iris snapped. "I don't care. They should know their place. Besides, father is calling you for the evening meal," Eden flew back to the palace. Iris turned and lifted Zach with her little hand, "Zach, don't mind him, he is a doofus arrogant angel." Zach looked at Iris and gave her a huge smile, "Princess Iris, thank you." "For what?" "For being the way you are. I promise I'll remain loyal to you for as long as I exist," Zach bowed. "Don't promise, show," Iris held his hand and both of them ran to the palace. Miley ran after the two, "wait! Can't they see me? I was right here but no one noticed? What exactly is happening? Where am I?" She followed the two talking to herself. Even the guards didn't stop her, she tried slapping one of the guards, but her hand passed through them, she couldn't touch them or anything else. "Woah! Am I a ghost? Is it my dream or a time travel thing? What else is left for me to see now?" She scuttled to the grand hall's gate. Zach stopped outside the gate, "princess please go in, I will wait for you here." Iris looked disappointed, "I understand. Father might pick on you again because of me. You can return home…" "I will wait for you!" Iris chuckled, "you are stubborn. I will try to return faster." Zach nodded and Iris straightened her posture, took off her white closed shoe near the gate and elegantly walked in the grand hall elegantly on the blue velvet carpet leading to the dining table. Zach picked up Iris' shoes, ran to a corner near the grand hall, spread his handkerchief on the ground and placed her shoes on it. Pressing himself against the wall he sat holding his knees, guarding her shoes. "This is Zach? What a freak? He is guarding her shoe? Strange boy," Miley looked at him, she looked around and entered the grand hall. The enchanted grand hall looked like it was placed under the ocean, with whales swimming overhead in the air, sting rays crawling on the floor, goldfishes with their fins shaped as hands serving the food on a huge coral-like table in seashell crockery. "Father, do you want to go to the ocean today?" Eden chuckled seated beside the angel king with magnificent wings, Grishur Scintilla. His face was as white and glowing as the moon with the only scar of a burn that was present underneath his left eye. His eyes were golden with blonde hair. "Why? Don't you like it, son? King, we must change it," said the angel queen with golden wings, black hair and a kerchief that hid her naturally pink lips, Frezen Scintilla. She looked impatient and worried if her son might have some discomfort. "No mother, please rest assured. I love this enchanted grand hall, I was just checking father's mood," Eden said, accepting the serving of fresh nichi juice in his seashell glass. Nichi was the only fruit that grew on clouds and was harvested and brought to the royal angels. It was irregularly shaped with a star or moon-shaped seed at its centre. Pure glittering fruit coat made it look like a small galaxy itself. It was used by angels to restore their powers, detox their body and provide them longevity. "Here she comes, daughter I have told you so many times, you must cover your face with a kerchief before coming to the family gathering," Frezen got up from her seat and walked to Iris. Making her sit beside her she served her the food. "Mother, I don't feel like covering my face why should I? We are a family," Iris said. Grishur and Eden chuckled as they drank the Nichi juice, Frezen eyed them, "it's ok because it's just us four here but there are sly wizards and witches out there, they might use their magic to turn your mind. The kerchief helps reflect their filthy magic." "Then brother and father should also wear it," Iris looked irked. "Male angels can repel such magic naturally, but it's not the case with female angels. Anyways, make sure you have it on every time you are out," Frezen warned Iris. "That reminds me, Iris keeps on associating with that Wizard's slave kid, what was his name? Yeah! Zach Zero," Eden looked at Iris who was scowling at him. "He's under my service, why are you bothered, brother?" "Iris! Of course, he is under your service but you need to be extra careful with wizards and witches and their kids. Even though we have prohibited them from teaching their kids magic, I have heard some wizard slaves are still teaching them under the surface, be careful," Frezen warned Iris. Iris gulped, restlessly moving her eyes, "Y-Yes mother, I will be careful." She took the spoon from the goldfish server and dug in. Meanwhile, Miley who was watching all this happen judged the whole family badly. "By the way, Eden, you will turn eighteen soon, are there any signs of the saviour symbol on you?" Frezen asked, hopefully. "No mother," he replied annoyingly, "this is the third time you asked me about it today." "I am just excited to see my son become the next saviour of our Zenara. It's been a thousand years since Scintilla has always been the saviour symbol bearer. Zenara has high expectations from you too," Frezen smiled elegantly behind her kerchief. "It's going to be transferred to my son from me," Grishur said proudly. Iris concentrated on eating and finished her evening meal, "thank you for the food. Mother, father, brother, I will take my leave now, enjoy your meal." Iris bowed slightly with her erect posture. Miley looked towards the gate and saw that Zach had kept back Iris' shoes. Iris walked out as Miley walked behind her, "now that I look carefully, she looks like me when I was sixteen." "Did I keep you waiting for too long?" Iris asked Zach. "No, not at all. Let's go!" "Where?" "You said you wanted to see what else I learned in magic, right? I will show you," Zach held Iris' hand and both of them ran to her room. Miley ran to follow the two when… "I don't have patience! Wake up this instant or else I am going to feed you the medicines myself!" An unfamiliar familiar voice echoed in her head, she held her head and shook it trying to snap out of the voice that fell on her Luke gravity. Soon everything in front of her faded into a black abyss and she opened her eyes with a gasp. "Finally, I thought you died, it would have been better if you did, but my bad luck," Zach's blurry face appeared before her as she squinted her eyes. She could feel the soft texture fabric she was lying upon and the warm cosy blanket that covered her body, "w-where am I?" "In my world, my kingdom, Zenara," said Zach proudly. "Zenara? It's real!" Miley snapped as she sprung up on the bed, "hell no! That was a dream like the other ones I keep having. It can't be real!" "Lady Iris seems to be lost somewhere, my lord," Ronan handed Zach a small bowl filled with green medicines. "I don't care, eat this," Zach stuffed the medicine with a spoon in Miley's mouth. Its bitter taste sent goosebumps down her spine and she threw all the medicine inside her mouth on Zach's face who was sitting beside her on her bed. Everyone in the room went to their knees, even Ronan put his eyes down and bowed. Zach clenched his jaws and threw the bowl on the ground.
