Chapter1
On a weekend evening, Ella Andrew, a beautiful young lady, sat down on a rock, allowing the cold breeze and the ocean waves to take away her worries, trying to end it all by jumping into the ocean, since life wasn’t fair to her. Look up to the sunset in her mini faded purple gown. Flashback to her memories: she is the only daughter of her mother and the first daughter of her father, with a deceitful stepmother and sister. Which made it difficult for her, growing up. Her mother left her to her father and till date she hasn't heard from her. She doesn't know if she is still alive or not. Her father refuses to tell her about her mother; he gets aggressive when she even wants to bring up the topic. Growing up for her wasn’t easy. As the sun continued its descent, casting long shadows across the beach, Ella's thoughts drifted back to her childhood. She remembered the happy times she had shared with her father, who had always been her protector and confidant. But even he had been unable to shield her from the relentless torment of her stepmother and stepsister. Her father does not care about her anymore, he is always busy with work. Ella's father works and earns very little. He's a hardworking man who spends less time with his family. Ella spent most of her time at home with her stepmother and stepsister, who relentlessly bullied and mistreated her. At age 18, three years ago, Ella was unjustly accused of stealing her father's money and important documents, leading to her being cast out of the house. Her father, under the influence of her stepmother's manipulations, refused to send her to college, leaving her with no prospects. Her stepmother married Ella's father a few months after her mother's departure. She has a daughter named Beth. Beth has never treated Ella like her sister; she treats her like a slave despite Ella's constant efforts to please them. Beth orders her around, and if Ella complains, her stepmother will slap her or starve her. Ella's father isn’t aware of this because he comes home late at night, and he only believes what his wife tells him. Ella's father sends Beth to college and takes care of her more than his own biological daughter. Ella is very intelligent throughout her high school, which makes Beth hate her more because Beth is a slow learner and dull-witted; she’s not clever. She faced so many challenges, both at home and when she left home. Ella had tried to cope with their cruelty, but the years of emotional abuse had taken their toll. She felt isolated and alone, with no one to turn to for support. The once-bright and cheerful girl had become a shadow of her former self, haunted by feelings of worthlessness and despair. Earning an income was so difficult for her. She secured a job at a restaurant three months ago after trying as many different jobs as possible. She was fired without reason, but she later found out the restaurant belongs to her stepmother's cousin. Her father doesn't trust her anymore, and he doesn’t care if his daughter survives or not. He does not care about her whereabouts. She got a studio apartment where she lives. Ella's heart sank as she contemplated her overdue rent and the weight of her financial struggles. She had always been fiercely independent, but the burden of her living expenses was threatening to overwhelm her. Meanwhile, her close friend Claire was going through a tumultuous time. Ella had witnessed firsthand the devastation Claire felt after catching her boyfriend Dustin cheating on her with a girl he claimed was his sister. Ella's heart ached for her friend, and she longed to offer comfort and support. However, Ella hesitated to share her own troubles with Claire. She knew that Claire was already dealing with so much, and she didn't want to add to her burden. Ella felt that she should be the one consoling Claire, not the other way around. Overwhelmed by a sense of hopelessness, Ella stood up and walked to the edge of the rock. The waves crashed against the shore below, their rhythmic roar echoing the turmoil in her heart. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, preparing to end it all. She was about to jump into the ocean. Suddenly, she heard footsteps behind her and looked back. Her eyes widened in surprise as they met the gaze of a dashing, tall, handsome man. His cologne enveloped her senses, a strong and intoxicating scent that made her head spin. He stood with his hands in his pockets, exuding an aura of confidence and power. Clad in a sleek black shirt and matching pants, he cut a striking figure. His expensive Audemars Piguet watch glinted on his wrist, and his fresh haircut framed a face that was both rugged and handsome. Ella couldn't help but feel a surge of attraction as she looked into his piercing eyes. She wondered what such a man could possibly want from her. Was he a stranger who had simply noticed her, or was there something more to his presence? Ella's heart pounded in her chest as she waited for him to speak, her mind racing with possibilities. Easton Hilton, the business tycoon and heir to a billionaire business mogul family, arrived at the airport back from his business trip to Kuwait after a five-hour flight. He stepped out of the plane, his tailored suit immaculate despite the long journey. Easton exuded an aura of confidence and power, his piercing blue eyes scanning the crowd. As he made his way through the airport, Easton's mind raced with thoughts of the successful negotiations he had conducted in Kuwait. He had secured a lucrative deal that would further expand his family's vast business empire. Easton's entourage of bodyguards and assistants followed closely behind him, ensuring his safety and attending to his every need. He nodded briefly to the airport staff who recognized him and offered their assistance. Reaching the baggage claim area, Easton spotted his custom-made luggage and motioned for his assistants to retrieve it. As he waited, he checked his phone for any urgent messages. A sleek black G wagon pulled up to the curb, its engine idling. Easton's driver stepped out and opened the door for him. As he was about to enter , a lady wearing a mini purple gown ran towards him and gave him a tight hug. Easton's escorts quickly pulled the lady back and questioned her. The lady apologized profusely, explaining that she had mistaken Easton for someone she knew. Easton, being a kind and understanding person, ordered his escorts to release the lady. She hastily entered a cab and drove away. Easton couldn't help but wonder who the lady was and why she had mistaken him for someone else. Easton slid into the back seat, his mind already turning to the next business venture that awaited his attention. As the car was about to move, he remembered he needed to call his cousin, Trevor, to inform him that he was back from his business trip. Then he noticed his credit card and cellphone were missing. Easton's heart pounded in his chest as he realized the gravity of the situation. He had been robbed, and the thief was getting away. "Follow that cab!" he shouted to the driver. Easton driver and his escorts nodded grimly and accelerated, weaving through traffic in pursuit of the fleeing vehicle. Easton watched anxiously as the cab sped ahead, its taillights disappearing into the distance. The driver and his escorts kept trying to get ahead, but the cab was faster. It darted through side streets and cut off other cars, its driver clearly aware that they were being chased. Easton's mind raced. He had to get his cellphone back. After a long chase, the car mistakenly hit someone else's car, causing a delay of a few minutes. Easton watched as the woman got out of her car at the beach entrance and ran towards the beach. The cab that Easton had been chasing drove away. Easton cursed under his breath, realizing that he might lost the woman and that his phone, which contained urgent and important information. Easton's driver got out of the car to deal with the aftermath of the accident. After sorting it out, they got to the beach, Easton and his escorts searched the beach for the woman, but she was nowhere to be found. Easton's frustration grew as he realized that he had lost both the woman and his phone. Just when Easton was about to give up hope, his eyes caught a lady sitting on a rock wearing a purple mini gown. Easton's heart skipped a beat. He had finally found her. "There she is," he whispered to himself. One of his escorts asked him, “Should I call the police?” "NO, I’ll handle it myself,” Easton said, his voice steely. He and his escort approached the lady, who turned out to be Ella. Ella stood up to jump into the ocean, then she heard a footstep and looked back.
