My Kings

Chapter 7

Jennifer’s POV

I went out to work on my powers after I was sure everyone was asleep. I worked on each on, trying to strengthen them and make them more accurate, I figure once they are accurate, I can make sure they get more powerful. I stopped when I heard noises. I jumped into a nearby tree so I wouldn’t be seen.

As they came closer, I saw that they were both tall. One had long black hair that he had back in a ponytail. His eyes looked dark, and he had a sloped nose. The other had really curly hair and a turned-up nose. I wished it wasn’t so dark out, I wanted to see what their eye color was. I listened to want they were talking about.

“When do you think you can get close enough to the Luna to inject her and kidnap her,” the one man said.

“I’m not sure, I need to do it before her memory comes back and she remembers him. He will be pissed if she figures out who he is before I get her out. I also have to kidnap her before they mate, or he will kill me,” the other one said.

“Samuel, you are usually close to her, can’t you just grab her,” the first man said.

“Ethan it isn’t that easy, one of the Kings always seem to be with her, if not all three. If I go down, you go down to,” Samuel said.

Thankfully they walked into a stream of moonlight and I could tell that they both had brown eyes. I decided it was time to start heading back to the castle. I traveled through the trees, just to be safe. I had to find out who they were. I had names and faces. I walked into Jason’s room and shook him awake. “We have a big problem! Wake your brothers up and meet me in your office.” I told him as I walked out of his room and walked to his office. When I got their I sat in his chair and waited for them. It didn’t take long.

“What the hell is going on!” Jason yells as they all piled in.

I took a breath. “First off I need to know, do you have pictures of the pack members, I need to see everyone with the name Samuel and Ethan,” I told them.

“Why,” Jonathan asked.

“I want to be sure before I start throwing accusations.”

Jason walked over and clicked a few buttons on his computer. In a few moments, he pulled up pictures of about a dozen men.

I looked at the pictures and was able for pick them out almost immediately, but I wanted to be absolutely sure, so I looked closely at every picture. “Who are these two men,” I asked.

“The one with long hair is Samuel, he is one of our Betas and the other, the one with the curly hair is Ethan, he’s one of our top guards. Will you please explain to us what this is about,” Jacob asked.

“Please sit down,” I said and waited until they did. “Before I tell you, I need you to promise that you’re not going to go off half crocked and do something stupid. We need to wait and think about this logically and find the best course of action.” I waited until they all three nodded “I was out in the woods, pra...walking and I heard people talking, so I jumped into a nearby trees. It was these two men. Ethan asked Samuel when he was going to get close enough to inject me and kidnap me. Samuel said he was working on it, but it wasn’t that simple you 3 were always there. They also mentioned that they needed to do it before I got my memory back and remembered him or before I mated with you. If he found out that they left me here long enough to be mated he would be pissed,” I told them. I could see the anger in their eyes and in the way they were sitting.

“So, you’re telling us that one of our Betas and top worriers are conspiring against us to steal our mate and Luna away from us?” Jason asked.

“Yes, I’m sorry,” I told them.

“We need to find them and kill them,” Justin said.

“No,” I said. “If you do that, we may never find out who ‘he’ is,” I said. “I have a better way,” I said.

“No,” they said in unison.

“The best way to find out who he is, is to let him catch me.” I said as if they had not said anything.

“Not happening,” Justin said.

“No way,” Jason said.

“I couldn’t stand it,” Jonathan said.

I sighed. “Don’t you think it would be better to let this happen in a controlled environment, then for it to happen when we aren’t prepared,” I asked them.

“What if we lose you. We can’t link with you until we mate and even if we mate, all they would need to do is use a small amount of wolfsbane and you couldn’t link us. We could use a tracker, but what if they find it and remove it or put you somewhere the signal will not get out,” Jason said.

“I understand,” I said.

I walk around the desk and sat in Jason’s lap. I gave him a kiss as I held his face. When I was done, I did the same with the other two. Then I walked out of the office toward my bedroom. I laughed when I noticed all three boys following me.

I turned around when I got to my door. Jason looked nervous, “Have we showed you our parent’s room yet,” he asked.

I shook my head. He smiled and took my hand. They led me to their parent’s room. Jason opened the door and led me in while the other two followed us in.

“This was our parent’s room. After they died, we refurnished it for when we…when we found our mate. We always figured we would share our mate and we would move in here with her,” Jason said as he ran his hands down my arms to my hands.

“We want to mate with you, tonight. Are you up for that?” he asked me.

“No, we can’t mate yet,” I told them.

“Why are we waiting” Justin asked.

“My memory, my wolf.” I said.

“We know you have your memory, or you wouldn’t know about your wolf,” Jonathan said. “Why have you been keeping it from us.”

“Because she has something to do with why I was taken, and that part of my memory is still not clear. So, she said it was safest for me to continue to remain without any memory because we didn’t know who we could trust and she was afraid word would get out. That my memory was back and bring them back to kidnap me before my pow… I mean before I’m strong enough to fight back,” I told them.

“You don’t think you can trust us,” Jonathan asked sounding really hurt.

“I didn’t say that, but what if you told your Beta’s which is a very reasonable thing for you to do. If he finds out that I even have a part of my memory back he may do something drastic. We need to try and figure out the best way to make this play out in our favor,” I told them.

“I don’t see how, unless we lock them up and torture them until they give up the information,” Jason says.

“That is not fool proof. They might not give up anything, or they might die before giving us anything. I still say that the best way is to let them take me. Plant a tracking device under my skin and have them take me shopping. I will somehow let him get me alone and then he takes me. You all watch the tracker and then if it does go off, you will have a point of origin to start at. Probably wherever I am being held, because they will figure that you won’t know when I was taken, so they will not even look till they get me to the holding place. Then you bring every warrior except Ethan that you will have incapacitated if he is still here and you will come and get me,” I told them. They all looked at me like I had three heads.
