CHAPTER 1 : THE CONFUSION
Adithyan Nair woke up to the sound of waves crashing.
He opened his eyes slowly. The ceiling above him was high, painted white with golden borders. A crystal chandelier hung in the middle, shining brightly.
This… was not his room.
He sat up quickly. The bed was huge, covered in silk sheets. The air smelled fresh, like expensive perfume. The windows were open, showing the blue sea outside.
Adithyan’s heart started pounding.
Where was he?
He jumped out of bed and looked around. The room was luxurious—far beyond anything he could afford. He rushed to the mirror.
His face looked the same. His messy black hair, his sharp eyes—everything was normal.
But when he turned, his eyes landed on a small table.
A wallet. A phone. A business card.
His fingers trembled as he picked up the card.
"Arjun Menon – CEO, Menon Industries"
His breath caught in his throat.
Arjun Menon?
That wasn’t his name.
His name was Adithyan Nair—a struggling writer from Kozhikode. Yesterday, he was sitting in his tiny rented flat, writing his novel.
So why was he in a millionaire’s villa?
His hands shook as he grabbed the phone. The wallpaper was a picture of him—but standing with people he didn’t recognize.
Then, the phone rang.
He flinched.
The screen flashed: "Mom Calling."
His mom?
No. His mom lived in a small house in Kozhikode. She didn't use fancy smartphones.
With a deep breath, he answered.
“Hello?”
“Arjun, my dear!” A woman’s voice filled the phone. It was warm, familiar—yet completely unknown. “Are you okay? You sound strange.”
Adithyan’s head spun. His hands went cold.
Who was this woman?
And why was she calling him Arjun?
