"You want to purchase not one, but two girls now?" I asked Brandon, bewildered by his request. I knew Brandon wasn't the type to take advantage of people or their money. Money I had. But he knew that, so I needed to make sure I didn't have to put up a boundary. That he wasn't just assuming I would be OK with this.
Brandon shuffled his feet nervously.
"I told Lily that I would TRY. If we don't rescue her friend Jasmine today, maybe we could track her down or something." He began rubbing the back of his neck. I scoffed slightly at that idea.
