Calvin Dale is a poor student who was able to go to college because of a scholarship. He lives by relying on part-time work. The food from his part-time job was for him to eat that day too.

Wearing the same t-shirt for three days and the next three days wearing the same jacket. Many campus friends are reluctant to approach him because he looks very pathetic. Calvin becomes the target of bullying, the girls are reluctant to be friends with him. He didn't have any friends in college. It's just that they don't know that Calvin is the heir of a powerful man named Lincoln Stuard.

Lincoln was a wealthy billionaire who had no children. He once loved a woman but because of social status, they were separated by circumstances, and unbeknownst to Lincoln the woman was pregnant with a son.

Afraid that her son would get into trouble, Maria hid Calvin since he was little and took great pains to care for him alone. Living in a sad and deprived environment does not mean that Maria forgets about her child's education. The woman gave all her salary for education, enabling smart little Calvin to study and be accepted on campus with a scholarship because of his achievements.

1.Poor Calvin Dale
Breakfast that morning didn't make Calvin full. That's because Maria only gave him cereal without any additional food. His family was very poor, living in a cramped rented building, and they didn't have much money to buy food. "Calvin," "Yes, Mom." "After college, don't forget to buy leftover bread at Sam's Bakery, we need food supplies," asked Maria. "Okay, Mom," After being given a little money to buy bread, Calvin kissed his Mom and immediately went to college. Riding the city bus, wearing a dark blue t-shirt that looks faded. A jean jacket with holes, old shoes, and a black backpack that looked shabby. From his appearance, everyone knew that he was a poor student. However, it was not an ordinary campus that he went to, but rather Theodore University. This place is the dream place of all college students. A place full of complete learning facilities, the best graduates, and extensive alumni connections. Many rich entrepreneurs and CEOs come from that college. Because of its popularity, Theodore University received the title of the best campus in St. Peters City. It is a prestigious college for rich people's children. Rich people's children with expensive branded clothes, luxury cars, and businesses inherited from their parents, complete with their arrogant attitude. Since the first day of college, no one wanted to be friends with Calvin. His classmates thought Calvin was no match for them and avoided him. Calvin took a course in business economics. It is a cluster of rich students where they study not only to gain knowledge but to seek relationships. Meanwhile, Calvin studied and sought knowledge about business from scratch. Sitting in the front seat still didn't make him the center of attention, the young man was invisible. Only the lecturer responded because he was quite smart and serious about every subject he taught. When the lecture was over, a young man approached him. “Calvin!” called Timothy. "Yes?" "I'm in your group in the Macro Economics class, but I'm too busy to discuss, so we'll just do our work," said Timothy. "Okay," replied Calvin, having no choice. Timothy left immediately after glancing at Calvin's worn shoes. From the look in his eyes, the young man looked down on Calvin. Calvin also went, but he left a book, so he came back, but he heard something. “Nonsense, Timothy! Just say you're pretending to be busy. "Aren't you just playing games every day? You're good at finding excuses," said Jonas, Timothy's close friend, whose voice was quite loud and could be heard reaching Calvin's ears. “Shut up! "You know I'm too lazy to be close to him," answered Timothy. "But it's a pity if he's alone," replied Jonas. "Then you can just be his group friend," said Timothy. “Forget it! "Just pretend I never spoke," said Jonas, choosing not to prolong their conversation. “Humph! "You just don't want to be close to him, he's like a poor I could lose my crush if I got too close to him," said Timothy. "Yes, you're right. I never thought a student like him could enter Theodore University. "Even though he's smart, in the business world, relationships are number one," said Jonas as he invited his friend to leave. Calvin was silent, he took his book and left with a gloomy face. It wasn't his fault he was born without a father, he was only the son of Maria, the woman who struggled alone to raise him. However, despite all her limitations, this woman always prioritized her child's future. Worked hard and even sent Calvin to the best university in St. Peter. Since his 17th birthday, Calvin had felt sorry for his mother. Secretly working part-time after school. He saved all his money because he wanted to buy Maria a car. He felt sorry for Maria having to take the bus to work so far away. That's why he was so frugal. Walking out of the classroom, he saw several girls walking in a row without looking at who was in front of him. Hit Calvin until he fell and his books scattered. Seeing that the one they hit was only poor Calvin, none of them apologized, instead they looked at the young man cynically. “Are your eyes nearsighted? You should wear your glasses, Calvin!” cursed the arrogant blonde Julia. "Don't be rude, Julia. It's a pity that he's already poor, there's no need for you to bully him anymore, he's suffered enough in his life, just look at his shoes, they look like they're asking to be fed," teased Imelda, the daughter of a regional official, teasing Calvin's battered shoes whose soles were slightly open. Calvin stood up, wiping dust from his clothes, and then with a straight face looked at the girls. “Wow, it turns out these rich, spoiled girls have trash mouths. Have you ever been taught how to apologize properly? I'm poor, but what are you? Don't you live by breastfeeding your parents? Marvellous!" Calvin said, very satirized. "You're impudent," said Julia, starting to raise her hand and wanting to slap him. “Article 30 of the St. Peter Law. Violence will result in a minimum of 1 month in prison!” Calvin said firmly, making Julia stop moving. Julia's eyes bulged, and even though she didn't slap him, her hands were still clenched into fists. Her face was red and she looked very angry. Julia looked very angry, but what Calvin said made her quiet. "You're a doctor's daughter, aren't you? Do you want to go to jail? Aren't you afraid that your father's image will suffer because of his daughter's rude behavior?" Calvin asked with a straight face. “You are insolent! Come on, let's go, just leave the poor man alone!" asked Imelda, who was too lazy to respond. Calvin walked away, he was poor and lived with limitations. But he is a smart and brave individual. His mother always taught him to be confident since childhood. There is no need to be afraid of other people if one is not wrong. Just like Maria, who works honestly and correctly. However, some people didn't like her mother, so Maria was fired from work several times because she didn't want to cooperate in committing fraudulent acts at the company where the woman worked. Seeing his mother who was always strong, Calvin wanted to be a strong protector for her. Studying law in addition to business economics, he wants to become an entrepreneur who can make his mother happy. At least for now, Calvin knows the methods he can use to bully the arrogant children of rich people. Walking towards the exit of campus, Calvin saw a confused girl collecting her scattered belongings. Calvin thought the girl might have been a victim of bullying like him. Without thinking, Calvin immediately helped her, helping to collect things that looked like children's Lego toys. "Ah, thank you for helping me," said the girl, smiling sweetly. "It's okay, is someone bullying you?" Calvin asked. "It is not like that! "I was running and all my things fell, there was no one here, only you who passed by," said the girl, giggling and laughing at her carelessness. "I see, be careful, Miss." "Amity, my name is Amity," she said, holding out her hand. “Oh yes, I'm Calvin. "Amity is a good name, if I'm not mistaken, it means friendship," guessed Calvin. "Yes, that is true! Nice to meet you, what are you majoring in?” she asked. "Business Economics," answered Calvin kindly. "I'm an architect." "No wonder you brought a Lego." “Oh, yes! "I used this to decorate my mockup, I used a funny theme, so I used Lego characters," said the girl very enthusiastically. "That's good, I hope everything goes smoothly," said Calvin. "Yeah, you too, bye!" said Amity, who was seen rushing to her lecture building. Calvin smiled, this was the first time he had chatted with a friendly female student without looking at who he was talking to. "She's friendly, her name should be Amity." Calvin walked off campus, he walked to a bakery and started buying bread for his mother. Calvin bought new, warm bread for his mother. Instead of the leftover bread which his mother asked for, Calvin wanted to give Maria delicious food. Taking out a few bills and paying, the young man smiled. The money he paid was his salary this month. He didn't want Maria to only eat non-nutritious food. Stopped by, he entered the supermarket to buy eggs, chicken, and some cold drinks. It was his mother's birthday, he wanted to give the woman he respected most in the world a delicious meal. Immediately returning to their small house, Calvin cooked everything, seasoned it, and made a special Calvin-style meal, especially for his mother. Usually, after 8 pm, her mother would come home, but that day Maria came home late. Her face was worn, she also looked drunk and was very surprised when Calvin greeted her with surprise. "Happy birthday, Mom!" said Calvin, handing her fried chicken with a candle on top. “Oh my God, Calvin! Chicken, dessert, where do you get the money? Who gave you money? Tell me, did you take bribes from them?” asked his mother, who looked displeased and scared. "What do you mean, Mom? Who?" “I work hard, please don't receive their dirty money! Are they forcing you to take the money!” said Maria, looking frustrated. “Calm down Mom, this is my money! I work part-time!" Calvin replied, wanting to calm down his mother. "Work? You have to go to college! I can pay for you, Son!" said Maria, still looking confused. "I'm 18 years old, Mom. I'm old enough to be able to protect and lighten your burden! I don't want Mom to keep eating leftover food to save money on my college fees!" explained Calvin. Maria immediately sat on the floor, she cried. Calvin didn't know what made her so depressed. “Mom, please tell me. Who is causing you so much trouble?” "Forget it, Son. I'm sorry! "I even forgot today it's my birthday," said Maria, still crying. "Never skimp on life again, Mom. You deserve food and decent clothes. I will look for scholarships for my studies, I will work hard and go to college to help our finances! "Starting today, you can rely on me, Mom," said Calvin, hugging his mother. “No son. I believe you can do all that, but I won't be your burden. "Seeing you succeed is my happiness," said Maria. Calvin smiled, that was his mother's nature. Maria is always strong and steadfast through all the obstacles they face. However, one thing that Calvin dreams of is to be successful and elevate his mother's status.
