Chapter 23: Carun and Grace.
Grace's PoV, 28th December: I laughed, darting away from Ella as she ran towards me. She chased me round and round, her face splitting open in a grin, and lunged towards me again. Jamie and Alex whirled around her too, trying not to get caught. "Tag!" Ella yelled as she dived towards my shoulder, tapping me firmly on the arm. I spun around and ran at her, eager for my revenge. Jamie spun past me, nearly with reach, so I chased him instead, giggling and out of breath. We were playing tag in the snow, surrounded by the soundless forest and its plethora of beautiful snowy white trees. No noise came from within those branches, our ragged breathes and sharp, happy laughs were the only sounds in the forest. Behind us, Alex watched with a smile on his face.
