PRESENT DAY
After her meeting with her supervisor, Miranda stayed at the office until one in the morning in order to get things where they could run without her for a day or two. She wasn’t sure how her meeting with Ranveer would go or how long she would have to stay at his office. If she was lucky, she would go and meet him and he would say his piece so that they could part ways amicably. At least that was her fervent hope. However, more realistically, she was expecting the unexpected.
If Ranveer was anything like he was fifteen years ago, she’d expect him to be unpredictable.
Miranda thanked her lucky stars her son was old enough to basically take care of himself. So she didn’t feel too guilty
