As she slowly regained consciousness, she struggled to open her eyes against the harsh lighting in the room. Her body felt lethargic. Given her past and her inability to remember much of it, she felt a panic bubbling inside her chest. Jane took slow shallow breaths as she tried to calm herself. Not again. Please God, not again.
