The past few days Joey hasn’t let me out of his sight. I’ve been spending most of my time sleeping or in his office working on schoolwork. We really have been taking this time to get to know each other, apart from what we remember growing up. I informed him of how I would learn the pack rules just so we could have something to talk about.
It’s odd to see how growing up we would do anything we could to just be close to each other. I’m a bit mad at myself that I didn’t fight harder for him. Yes, the age difference was a lot but being a mate is more than just s*x. It’s about finding your place of safety and belonging. It’s also about friendship and growing together.
