29th December, 2013Rumours were abound that Tommy Gunn was poised to join Manchester City in the January transfer window. It was in the local rag, ‘The Shyton Daily’, on various football websites and it was on Reddit—which meant it must be true. It was time to hear it from the horse’s mouth so I paid Tommy a visit.
Tommy was standing outside his council flat looking like he was about to explode like a suicide bomber. The outside of his flat had been vandalised with graffiti. ‘Scum’, ‘leech’, ‘traitor’, ‘money-grabbing bastard’, and ‘you’re s**t in bed’ were amongst the many things spray painted on to his walls, door and windows.
TOMMY: What the f**k?
As I was about to talk to Tommy, his mobile phone rang to the tune of Beethoven’s 9th. I hadn’t expected that.
