1st September, 2013I was finally welcomed around Ronnie’s ‘gaff’ the following day. It was another huge mansion with fountains, and marble and granite everywhere. Ronnie himself welcomed us into his home and showed us around. Oddly, most of the rooms were filled with unpacked boxes. The outside looked like a home, the inside more a goods warehouse. RONNIE: Still unpacking. A lot of the boxes apparently contained new televisions, fridges and computers. RONNIE: We’re holding a raffle. Ronnie’s mobile then rang. RONNIE (into mobile): Yeah Ma? Ronnie turned away from me. I looked at the boxed items. They were top of the range goods that would fetch a pretty penny along the Tottenham Court Road. Ronnie went over to a corner and whispered. RONNIE: No, Ma. Can’t do this weekend. Home. Alri
