9th January, 2014Bob managed to raise me out of my stupor by reminding me of the documentarian oath, and we made our way over to an extremely extravagant three-storey mansion which featured a fountain outside. I loved fountains. I often imagined dancing around, splashing the water and getting all silly. Maybe it was the Danish fisherman ancestry that was coming into play there. We entered through the huge door into the mansion, which was a good 30-minute drive from Creek Alley Stadium. Maury really was every estate agent’s dream. A butler showed us into a grand palatial ballroom where Maury was sat in an ostentatious throne that the Queen herself wouldn’t have felt out of place in. MAURY: This was a bargain.
