The light signalling that someone has rung my doorbell flashes, and for a brief moment, I find myself hoping that Melody is here, but I know that"s unlikely. She"d have messaged before just showing up, and I know from almost constantly checking my phone that she hasn"t.
I grab it just in case and make my way down the corridor towards the front door. Perhaps someone has pushed it by accident. It wouldn"t be the first time, though most of my flatmates are good at telling their visitors what to do. I got lucky with the people the academy assigned to live with me.
I open the front door, surprised to find my parents on the other side.
