Josh gestures towards the entrance to a fairly quiet restaurant, and I take that as my cue to enter. I"m nervous, but I"m trying not to let that distract me, especially as I know I need to pay attention if I want to make the most out of the chance to be on a date with Josh. He"s trusting me not to waste his time, and I don"t want to risk him thinking that I don"t realise how big of a deal that is.
He follows me inside and we approach the server.
Josh pulls out his phone and types something quickly, showing it to the server, whose eyes widen and flicker to me.
"Right this way," he says slowly.
I frown and look at Josh. My confusion must show on my face because he turns his phone towards me so I can see the screen.
