"Christopher !" She was running after me. Her foot steps heavy over the wet grass. " Christian,please wait." Her voice broke,thick with emotion,thick with hurt. I winced,willing my feet to come to a halt. Few seconds after,she was standing before me,breathing fast. Tears trickled down her cheeks as she struggled to breathe. And I should have said something to make her feel better. I should have made it hurt less,but I couldn't. So I did what I did best and averted my gaze. "He's my father." Her voice was barely above a whisper. "Christian,please." She sobbed. I pursed my lip,bringing my gaze to meet hers. " She hiccupped, bringing her hand to her chest. Her fingers curled the thin fabric of her dress and she squeezed. "Don't do this. Don't do this to me,please." She was strong. She had always been strong. And she was going to be okay. I hoped with everything in me that she would. I swallowed hard and then exhaled. I would regret this. Deep down in my heart I knew I would. But I knew that it was for the best. So I looked her right in the eyes and I said; "I would never have let myself fall in love with you if I knew you were his daughter." I said slowly. "But I did. I love you and you know it." I paused and then sniffed. "But I have dreamed of this since I was thirteen. Everything I did,Josie, it brought me this far. I cannot let it go. And I just--love you so much." I pouted and then nodded. "But that's what it is Jo, It's just love." I flicked my tongue quickly over my lip. "And It's not enough."
