First encounter

Chapter 1 Aliyah was walking down the lonely path that led to her house when she heard a woman screaming. She was just seventeen and she was a content creator. She took out her phone immediately. Probably someone was r****g the woman. She moved closer following the voice kept drowning in the river of silence . She was visibly shaking but she wanted to get everything happening captured. She hid behind the leaves and took out her phone. She was terrified with what she saw. It was a monster. He had human body but two blades came out of his head with his eyes long enough to see if anyone was nearby . Fear gripped Aliyah as he used the blade to stab the woman ferociously. She was about tiptoeing back when her phone rang. She quickly switched it off and moved away from the leaves. The blade went back to become head as soon as the monster noticed someone was nearby. He sniffed and started coming to Aliyah's direction.He gave a low growl that echoed through the darkness. Aliyah froze in fear. The blade came out as he scanned through the bushes. Trouble was going on its own way when she went looking for it. She wanted to run away unscathed but the monster left a scratch on her back. Her uniform was drenched with blood. She got home to meet her brother who was a detective sitting patiently outside. She dragged her leg weakly. She had lose so much blood. She fainted immediately she got to their doorstep made of woods. Dave ran to her sister shocked. He carried her on his back to the hospital. There, the doctor commenced treatment. The doctor after sometimes came out and informed him of her condition. " She was stabbed with a knife . But, I couldn't fathom the exact knife she was stabbed with". Dave held his fist so tight and promised to go look for the culprit but he should look after his sister before then. He asked the doctor if he could see his sister and he allowed him since her condition was getting better. He walked into the ward with his head down. He had failed in protecting her only sister. He couldn't forget their parents last wish ringing in his ears to take care of his sister. He burst into tears burying his masculine endurance. "You must be in quite a lot of pains." He held her hands staring at her pale skin and chapped lips. Suddenly, he rose up and exited the hospital after depositing some money. He had barely came out when his phone rang. "Hey Dave! We gat quite a horrible work today. And we need to come together. Or else, we will be perishing together." "What the hell is going on!" "I can't explain the details to you. Anyway, the chief instructed you to come now." He hung up. Dave took a cab . Within fifteen minutes, he was at their base. It was a well built modernized station with high technology equipments. They had all they need for successful operations and their sponsor was nobody than Black Topmost chairman. Dave's father was the founder . He founded the organisation with a friend of his. And his friend has been the chief since his father died a tragic death. Not only his father but his mother too. He didn't know how they died. He knew they got burnt in a fire accident which consumed their luxurious house entirely and they had given him a responsibility to shoulder before they finally gave it all up and kicked the bucket. "We don't have much time. There's this parasite who uses human as host and when he does, it takes control of everything including how they think and behave. The detectives got ready for the operation to get the monster. They have gotten the pictures of when he was a human and when he became a monster . They were still preparing when an emergency call came in that a monster was disrupting the peace of the market. The detectives having gotten their cars ready flocked out. They got to the market and everywhere was something else. People were running helter skelter. Some are wounded already. "Shoot any wounded person "The chief roared The detectives hesitated but the wounded people were becoming monsters already and they were ready to attack them. The real monster was gone already. The detectives went back unscathed after doing their jobs with guilty fire burning in them. They have killed innocent people they monster bite . They had to go back to birth another plan for a successful capturing of the monster. Dave had to go back to the hospital to check on his sister and was heartbroken when he was shown the wound of his sister. Though it was taken care of but it sure would become an unforgettable scars. He cried looking at her suffering. He sat down thinking when Aliyah suddenly sprang up like a cobra ready to bite Aliyah sprang up from her bed all of a sudden like a cobra ready to spit. "Aliyah. Are you okay?? " Dave tried to move closer to her but she flung him and he hit his back . She moved fiercely and dangerously to her brother. Two blades sprang from her head . Dave locked the door . He was running around the room and she was using the blade ferociously but he was good at dodging it. "Aliyahhhhhhh. Stop it." He screamed at her and she stopped. The blade got back inside and she looked at her brother with tears. "Aliyah. Calm down. It's me Davy" Aliyah was fond of calling her brother Davy. The doctors were knocking at the door shouting for them to open it. "Davy!" She said running to hug him Dave helped her to her bed and quickly organized the room. He then opened the door. Before the doctors would talk or ask anything. "We are leaving here since she's conscious" "Mr. Dave! Her wound is yet to heal" "I am her Guardian. I said we are leaving now!" He screamed at the doctors. "Alright. No problem but you will have to sign a document before that" Dave quickly helped his sister up and he went to the doctor's office to sign? He carried her on his back and took her out. He let her down and she entered the car. Aliyah was disturbed by what happened at the hospital and so was her brother. They got home with different thoughts in their mind. Dave promised to do something about her sister but he warned her never to go out so that she wouldn't go do the same thing she did at the hospital. He would go to work everyday leaving behind her sister with the door closed. He started working on the monster case. They need to know the source of which it came from. While working, Dave happened to see some books though half burnt in the house. He felt it must be their parents'. So, he kept it. He was busy going through the case when his mind went to the book.
