"Well, what did she say? Did she reinstate you in your surgeon position?" I ask Mike as soon as he walks into my office.
"Of course she did not reinstate me. What do you think? Do you really think that she would? All she cares about is her own name. She does not care about me and how I am supposed to survive without the big salary I am used to. How are we going to survive with a salary of a General practitioner? If you go on maternity leave, you are still going to get paid at least," Mike says.
"I swear I hate that woman. I never want to see her again. If I could get rid of her forever, I would. But now we need this job. We cannot both lose our jobs as surgeons, but I will have to go on maternity leave one of these days and I don't know if I will be able to keep my position
