Chapter two

"Marry me Mr Luca" I said and he stared at me while trying to find the right words to say to me.

" That's not going to happen Miss Marino" he said as he ran his fingers in his hair calmly.

" It is going to happen, you saved my life Mr Luca and I want to marry you" she declared it was something normal to do.

"And I just told you I'm not going to marry you Miss Marino. What do you think? that marriage is just something you jump into? Where I come from that's not how things work. We get married because we actually want to spend the rest of our lives with the people we are married to. I'm not going into a marriage of convenience..." he trailed off calmly.

"Then why did you save me?" I asked as I fought the urge to cry.

" They ruined me for anybody else. I need someone to rely on, Someone to help me, Someone powerful" I revealed and he looked away.

" I'm not about to have this conversation with you, clearly you have lost it" he said and made his way out of the bedroom. I looked away as my eyes stung with unshed tears, I fought the sob that threatened to escape my lips, before I knew it, I was crying like my life depended on it.

I can't believe Galvino used me, he made me a complete fool. That fvxker was my first love, my first kiss. I can't believe I did everything to keep us working, when he proposed it was the happiest moment of my life, how could he be so cruel to me? and my father? ..."

Padre could not even try to find me, maybe deep down he was happy with how things turned out. Maybe Victoria was right, I never really understood what it meant to be a part of the Royal family and now, they had shown me their true colors.

Who is this man? I wondered as my eyes trailed his entire room, he was not in the room but I could still percieve the sweet scent of his clone.

"Aldo De Luca. Being part of the Royal family had opened our eyes to lots of information, especially about the people in power, if Aldo was indeed a De Luca, then he was exactly what I needed for my amazing come back.

After leaving me in the room, he did not return to me, I waited for sometime and somehow, fell asleep in the position I was sitted in. Maybe it had something to do with the treatment, but I slept like a baby.

" How are you feeling now, miss?" The man asked as he checked my hand and then my face.

" For how long have I been knocked out?" I asked weakly.

" Two weeks, the treatment was strong and somehow your body gave up from the amount of stress you had passed through" The doctor revealed as he arranged the glasses on his face properly.

" And you are?" I asked curiously. The man was handsome for his age. " The family doctor." he revealed with a manly smile then made me feel safe.

" Where is Mr Luca?" I asked curiously.

" Currently not in the country, but I believe you are surrounded by the right maids, I will take my leave now. " he said and left after removing the drip strapped in my hand.

" Ouch! I've got a splitting headache" I groaned as I rubbed my head in frustration.

" Good morning madam, do you want anything ma'am? what should I offer you?" the maid asked curiously.

" Where is this place?" I asked the maid after she helped me freshen up. I was currently wearing his shirt and pants.

" One of the Boss's properties, he has instructed that you stay indoors" she revealed as I stared at the food on the table.

" Eat something my lady, you have to regain your strength" she said while trying to peel her eyes from my exposed breasts.

"Is he married?" I asked as I fought the urge to ask more questions.

" The Boss is surrounded by beautiful ladies, and has been rumoured to be dating a few of them. But he had not brought anyone to his mansion before" she revealed and I took a deep breath in and then out.

" Good one, cause I'm getting married to your Boss" I declared and her eyes lit up excitedly.

" Really, that's such great news" she said as she clapped her hands excitedly. I've always been known for getting what I want, Aldo De Luca can't wake up one morning and suddenly tell me he doesn't want me.

I want power, I want my freedom, and I want revenge. There's no way I'm letting those people get the last laugh after what they did to me. Wearing his room slippers after eating, I burrowed one of their phones, then proceeded to check the internet for more information.

According to the headlights,they could not find my body, so in honor of the dead heiress they buried an empty caskets. My step mother was balling her eyes out at the funeral.

I scrolled through the different videos that managed to grace the internet. "My fiance was a good woman, we had such good memories of each other. I never knew she was struggling with her own demons, demons that made her selfish enough to take her own life at the eve of our wedding" he said and bowed his head while wiping his crocodile tears, his mom stood by him, rubbing his back to relive him of the pain.

Anger cursed through my veins as tears rolled out of my eyes. " My daughter is dead, but her legacy lives on" Dad declared.

This was bullsh!t! how could dad agree to go ahead with the funeral without proper investigation, it was clear indication that he knew exactly what he was doing.

It hurt like hell, the more I think about it, the more I felt the urge to cry. Blinking away the tears that rolled out of my eyes, I handed the phone back to the maid and asked her to leave. I need to see Mr De Luca. Why the hell was he avoiding me? Was it because of the way I asked him to marry me?

"The meeting with our new investors was a success, but I would really appreciate it if we put our hands on deck as always and continue with the good works at the labour market" I said to the head of the marketing department and they shook their heads in agreement.

" You may leave" I instructed them as my eyes moved over to my phone which was still ringing on my table.

" Uncle Kris" I said and he sighed on the other end.

"In as much as I'm curious as to why you have the Marino heiress in your mansion, I would not ask. You have always been as secretive as your father Massimo. Please stay out of trouble son, the girl is awake" he revealed and then the line went dead.

I have stayed away from her, since she declared her Intentions to marry me few hours after escaping death. Seinna is walking red flag. I'm not comfortable with bold women like that. I like my woman, calm, decent and responsible. If I ever decide to tie the knot, it will be with a responsible Italian woman, not the one that decides to propose to a man she doesn't even know.

" The Jet is ready Boss" one of my men said and I gave a nod as I took my blazer and walked out with my shades on. When I arrived at my mansion, the maid bowed in respect as I made enquiry about miss Marino.

" She's currently in your room sir" She revealed and I gave a nod as u took a deep breath in and out.

I got into the room, and my jaws literally dropped when they met her n***d back and behind. I was shocked to my bones, why on earth is she in my room like that. I could not help but notice the tattoo of the date, 5th of August on her hips. Then the tattoo of a dove on her arm.

" You should consider dressing appropriately! Miss Marino, this is my bedroom and I would not have you dress like this, you are not a call girl" I complained before I could stop myself.

" I thought you would avoid me forever Mr Luca, It's a good thing you figured you can't avoid me for life "she said mockingly and I walked passed her, to my closet where I got a robe.

" I thought you are an heiress, ain't you supposed to act all poise and gentle?" I asked as I walked over to her and forced her into the robe, then proceeded to tie it.

." You act like you've never seen a n***d woman in your life, it's cute" she said teasingly and blinked my eyes twice. What have I gotten myself into?

"Seinna, I am a full blooded man. I just walked in on you n***d" I raised my voice an higher Octave and she chuckled.

" We wouldn't be having this conversation if you just agreed to marry me when I proposed" she said giving me the logic sign.

" That's it, you don't propose to me and expect me to accept. I'm not going to let you use me for your silly games Seinna. I have a business to run, I've got my family..." I trailed off.

" And I've got no one Aldo, No one ..it's just me" she said as her eyes stung with unshed tears.

" All I want right now is someone to stand by me and I've found that person in you, if you don't marry me, I would look for someone else to do it!' she snapped almost immediately.

" You will do no such thing! They declared you dead, the news is everywhere, they get a whim that you survived it, they would look for you and complete the job, why don't you get it?" I asked as my head banged with headache.

I have always been focused, reserved and calm. This girl right here was slowly making me loose my mind.

" I don't care what you say .." she trailed off.

" Don't dare me Seinna Marino!" I snapped angrily as I tried to catch my breath. Seinna walked over to me then kissed the corner of my lips seductively.
