Cathy looked around the apartment as she cleaned, making mental notes of what the most important things were to take and what could be left behind if she started running out of time. There was nowhere safe to write things down, so she had to continuously replay her plans in her head so she wouldn’t forget. When she was ready, she would wait for him to leave for the day. Then she grabbed everything she could and threw it in her truck. The next part of her plan required help, and she thought about every person she knew.
