"What's the non_sense you're doing in the assembly ground" it was a voice from Mr Johnson.

As I heard this,I felt scared.then,He asked me to kneel down.I knelt down honorably before it would turn to beating and lashing.

Then,Mr Johnson told me:

"Let me find another sc_ape goat" he said,as he was parading the assembly ground.

After few minutes,He couldn't find anybody except me.so,He asked me to come over the assembly pulpit when the proprietor finished dropping his speech.Then,He asked me to face the public and started asking me questions:

"Tell us The speech the proprietor just finished dropping,What does it based on?" Mr Johnson asked me,as I faced the whole school.

"It based on seriousness and Good behavior to other students,The proprietor added that we should always be humble and honest to people" I answered boldly.

Mr Johnson felt suprised and then proceeded.

"Among the names of dignitaries the proprietor mentioned.mention one" Mr Johnson asked me.

"The proprietor mentioned Bolaji Abdullah,The writer of sweet sixteen" I answered.

The whole assembly exploded with smiles and grins as I answered the questions correctly.

Mr Johnson didn't want me to go like that,He wanted to beat me publicly.so,He proceeded with another questions on the subject that he teaches us then.

"What's poetry?" He asked me, Because he was our literature teacher.

"Poetry has many definitions but to emphasize it briefly sir,"poetry is the class of literature comprising poem sir" I answered.

Mr Johnson wasn't happy with the way I was answering his questions correctly,He wished I could just fail one question,so that he would beat and di_sgrace me publicly.I could see that in his face.So,He then asked me a question he hasn't taught us before in literature.But due to the fact that I always read, I've gone through everything.

"Give me an example of alliteration" he said.

"Peter Piped Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers." I answered correctly.

Since he couldn't get anyway to make me fail even a single question,He then faced the whole assembly ground and Said:

"It's good to be brilliant! Ten rounds of applause for this intelligent and brilliant student" he said,And the whole assembly ground exploded with clapping.

"It's enough" Mr Johnson said

But the students continued clapping for me as I was walking down.

I was walking proudly as I was getting down from the assembly pulpit.Jummy was over-joyous and happy.I could see it in her face how she was grinning and smilling delightfully.This added to the feelings she had for me.

As I got down from the assembly ground pulpit,I drew the love sticker for Jummy and she smiled at me lovely.

After closing hour, Jummy came to me and started the conversation.

"God saved you today.big head!" Jummy said,as she was laughing mocking_ly.

"No be you wan put me for trouble? Wahala girl" I told her as I laughed out loud.

As I called her "wahala girl",she started chasing me around playfully and I was running too.

"Oyah wait! I'm no more beating you" Jummy Said.

"Can you even beat me before? I'll bre_ak your hand " I said.

Then I stopped running and then asked her:

"Oya! Joke aside.what did you want to tell me" I asked.

"It's nothing serious and I knew you would've known too,You're only pretending" she said.

"I'm I a soot_hsayer? Common Tell me!" I said.

Then,She placed her hand on my shoulder and confessed her love for me.

"Jummy,I don't think it can work." I said.

"Why did you say that?" She said as her eyes were filled with teardrop.

"Your mother and father don't like me,How would it work?" I asked,as I bent down my head.

"With true love and strong affection,It would definitely work because love conquer all" Jummy said,as she assured me.

"Hmmmm,

"But how about my dad?" I asked

"I've said it all,Love conquers all.With deep love and strong affection,I believe it'll work out" Jummy said.

After hearing this, I hummed and sighed thoughtfully.When Jummy saw my reactions,she moved closer to me and then asked:

"Or maybe you don't love me?" She asked.

"As if you've known Jummy,I don't love you at all because I believe we are okay as friends.Let us keep maintaining our friendship dear" I said.

Though,that was not how I supposed to answer her questions but I just wanted to trick and ploy her a little.

"You don't love me?" Jummy asked,as she was about to leave.

As she was about to leave,I held her hand and grasped her back.

"Jummy!,After God,his prophet and my parent.You're the most beloved person to my heart.You're my heart,my world,and my everything.If it hadn't been for cowardliness and fear,I would've been the first to express this love for you.I saw it coming.so,I accepted this love with all my heart" I said,In proposal line.

Jummy felt overwhelmed and happy.The way she was covering her face with her hands has made it known that she was blushing lovely.

"But I'm afraid" Jummy said

"Why? Why? Why?" I asked her curiously.

"You know you're a popular person in the school and many girl love you.I hope you're not decieving me? I hope you'll not later leave me and go for them?" Jummy asked.

Though,If I started expressing my love for her that time,she may not understand me very well.so,I applied a wisdom.

"Jummy,How many male students are in this school?" I asked.

"Ahahaha,They're countless now" she said.

"Why did you choose me? Among them are people from rich background, among them are handsome ones and Among them are brilliant ones too,why did you choose me?" I asked.

She smiled a little and then replied.

"I just love you for no reason" she Said.

"So,That's how I love you for no reason too.I chose you over the girls you think they'll later snatch me from you" I said.

Then we held each other's hands and kept talking lovely.That was where we were when her driver arrived.Then Jummy and I parted our ways.As a lover boy who was just falling in love for the first time,I kept looking at the car as it was taking Jummy away.I wished me and Jummy could stand there for like a week and keep talking.

As I got back home,I met my mum peeling oranges.so,I joined her to peel them.Then after few minutes,I asked her:

"Mummy! If this statement is muttered " this and that are water and fire" what does it mean?" I asked my mum as I was peeling the oranges.

My mum is such a very brilliant woman.she is very smart and intelligent.I love her for that.

So,she gave me a cup of water .

"What should I do with this mum" I said.

"Just calm down" she said.

She then put a paper in fir__e.....As the paper was burning and sparking fire,mum then took the paper out and asked me to pour water on it.as I poured the water on it,the burning paper was extinguished by the water.

"What happened when you poured water on the burning paper?" Mum asked me.

"The water extinguished the fire" I replied.

"Good! That means they're both enemies" mum said.

I nodded and then proceeded.

"Hmm! Now I understand mum.But what about a dog entering a lion's jungle" I asked.

"A dog who enter a Lion's Jungle would be k_illed undoubtedly.most especially,it would be ki_lled while it's body is pier_ced.that means it's body would be filled with blood" mum said.

As I heard this,I felt scared.infact ,I didn't know when I said this loudly:

"So,that means me and Jummy can not____" I stopped there.

"Marry" was the last word I was to say,when I realized that I was with my mum.

So,my mum asked me:

"Who's Jummy".
