I Will Catch You

I got off the airplane with Hanna on my right side. Both of us were extremely excited about our new life in Scotland.

 -So, we are here...What should we do first?- Hanna asked this question with a little exhaustion in her voice.

 - We should get on the bus. We still have left like 4 hours trip to P.U.L.N.- I smiled at Hanna- Shall we?

 - Yes, we shall.-she said it sassily. We caught the bus just on time. The bus driver wasn't pleased that he had to get off the bus to put away our luggage. Then we went to the back seats. Hanna was too exhausted to stay awake so she put her earphones in and listened to her favorite 90s Britpop songs after Tattva by Kula Shaker, she went straight to snoring. I was just looking at the passengers. An African lady with sunglasses and a headscarf on her head caught my sight, she was a medusa, tried to hide her snakes. There was a man too who wore old fashioned clothes with gloves hiding 90% of his rotting body the rest was the makeup that man was a zombie. All these creatures are around us, normal people can't see them, they hide which they developed perfectly. Most of them aren't dangerous to people but to make sure it stays like that, we have universities to train paranormal scientists and hunters in one word Chosens. They have the ability to see the aura of these creatures. We learn the colors different from every species. For example vampires blood red, werewolves pearl white, witches dark purple, etc. This ability has to stay with us that's why Chosen can only marry with Chosen or human. Mom and Dad worked together in a Lizard & Snake Medical Research. My brother didn't get his ability, yet. It comes out at the age of sixteen after that he finishes high school he has to choose a university. P.U.L.N. is one of the best universities where you can learn Creature Biology, Weapon Use and Make, Martial Arts, Potion, Hidden Geography. It all sounds like what you learned in high school but we have to get ordinary education to pretend we are normal humans that's how we hide the Creatures existence. We do that for centuries now. The most important that we Chosens are not allowed to be a lover to a Creature, or the Ancient Court punish you. But they don't reject friendships between the two sides.

 I was staring out of the window to just see what is real Scotland looks like. It was beautiful with its hills and mountains, green where ever you see and many sheep, countless. The weather was cold and with grey clouds and fog. Hanna hated this she was more like a tropical, with me it was a different situation, I adored. It made me feel like I'm in a film with a dramatic rhythm for background music. We arrived at the Loch Ness lake with the bus. I started to shake Hanna's shoulders to wake her up.

 -Ummm...5 more minutes, please- then she turned away and tried to go back to sleep.

 -Okay, I just wanted to tell you that we arrived but if you changed your mind getting off. 

-What?! Why didn't you wake me up earlier?!-and then she ran off the bus to got her luggage.

 Behind her, I was walking like had the time for anything in the world. The village was small, dark, foggy with narrow roads. Not a single soul that we have seen. We headed to the address Moon Street, there was our girl campus a huge building (compared to the other houses) with 4 elevators in the building and had 5 levels. Our room was on the 4th floor. we stepped into room 32 and it was breathtaking. There were two double beds, two desks with a chair, two huge cupboards on each side of the room what made it beautiful to us we had huge windows that lighted up the room a lot. The bathroom had a normal size but with a shower and a bathtub. The good thing is that we agreed that tomorrow we will paint the green walls to something pastel and the furniture from dark brown to white and of course some decorations. I dropped down my stuff and started to make my bed I knew myself, later I wouldn't have the energy to do it.

 -Later would you like to look around? I would like to see the canteen and look for some local shops.- said Hanna with sparks in her eyes. She is a shopaholic. She has thousands of shoes, dresses and the biggest collection of her are sunglasses. I told her that here she won't use them but who cares she brought them if it's about fashion she never listens to me. I wanted to check myself in the mirror, I had to see the consequences of the trip. While I was in the bathroom I saw that the wallpaper started to come off at the right down corner of the mirror. It was ugly I just ripped off what I could. For my biggest amaze behind the purple striped wallpaper was a safe with a keyhole.

 -Hanna! Come here, now!- said it with a little panic in my voice. 

 -If you found a cockroach then don't count on me.

 -There are no cockroaches here. Please, you have to see that- Hanna came in and saw the safe in the wall.

 -Wow...Do you think other rooms have one too?-said with surprise and she realized something- You took off the wallpaper?!

 -I had too it was a needle in my eye but we will change it tomorrow anyway. Is something in it?-my curiosity was great. Hanna tried to open it with less success.

 -Well, it is locked but we can buy something that would help to crack the lock. I have to go to the canteen I'm quite hungry-the moment Hanna said that my stomach growled for a sandwich- I hear you wouldn't mind either-giggled the little blonde girl.

 Hanna was sweet, kind with sun-kissed skin and swinging long blonde almost white hair, that's why she was popular around boys. She ate as much as she wanted, she stayed skinny. I was different I had an average height, pale skin, and short jet black hair. Don't get me wrong I love myself but I never had a boyfriend and I didn't want to push anything so I just live my life kinda relaxed.

 We closed the door and walked to the elevator. It had buttons for the numbers' of levels, the ground floor that's where was the canteen and for last a button named P.U.L.N. but just Chosens were able to make it visible. I pushed the ground floor. Starvation won above curiosity. We have time to check it tomorrow. The door opened and I was sprinting toward the canteen. It was a nice big place, everything made of oak wood; chairs, tables, walls and the floor. The windows were stained glasses, the pattern told a story about the first agreement for peace between Chosens and Ancient Creatures. The atmosphere had a friendly impression. There weren't many students, but if they were there they were chatting or drinking coffee it was also a salon for girls. I went to the counter to ask for a sandwich. The woman was very nice she told me we can ask for anything to eat and they can make it in a glance. I stayed with my sandwich I didn't even have the energy to think out something else. Hanna asked for two slices of pizza. -Today can we skip the shopping and walk I'm very tired because of the jetlag-I said it to Hanna before I took a bite of my sandwich which was delicious. - It's all good I'm tired too but only if we go tomorrow, we have to buy books, decoration, etc. -Sure We finished and got back to our room to sleep. I changed to my Pjs, wished goodnight to Hanna and texted my parents to tell everything is alright.

 Before I could go to sleep I still thought about the safe in the bathroom. Then I just fell asleep.
