“Hello!” Alec heard the cheerful voice of his uncle Chris when he picked the call after three rings.
“Hey, Chris!”
The other side went silent for a second and Alec thought the call was disconnected. He was about to pull the phone away from his ears to check when he heard a deep sigh and knew that he spoiled the cheerful mood of Chris. It also informed him that Chris didn't check the caller id, meaning either he was too tired to check or was listening to music on his phone.
