"Mom! I'm home!" I yelled untying my converses. "Alright sweetie, I have dinner ready if you want to eat it before you start your homework," mom said coming out of the living room with the television remote in her hand. "I had dinner with Jade but thank you," I said putting my shoes in the corner of the shoe cabin. We went to a nearby diner to grab some fast food. I ended up eating fries and a burger and Jade got a drink and a burger. "Alright, and did you study for that upcoming test? Don't forget, perfect score!" Mom said fixing the flowers in the vase. "Mom, I will try... I don't think I can promise anything this time," I said about to walk away. Because I missed a day of school, I got left behind in the lesson and after that, I didn't have time to go back and study the lesson that I missed. "You've had perfect grades since the beginning of high school. I don't want you to mess it up now when you're so close. If the phone is the reason for your distraction, I'm going to have to take it away!" Mom lectured me. She was never tough with me about anything other than my grades. Since I was a smart kid, she expected me to get perfect scores in everything. In middle school, I lost track of my grades and ended up in a bad situation so mom made sure that I kept my grades up at all times. I groaned, walking up to my room and studying for the rest of the evening. ~*~*~*~*~ Sunday passed by so fast because I was trying to study and not get distracted because the last thing I wanted was to lose my phone, the only way to entertain myself and keep in touch with Jade and Andy. I stayed in my room and studied for the test the whole day. Jade called a few times and asked to go shopping with her but I refused. I felt even more pressured to pass the test. The worst thing of all was that I didn't do good under pressure and I was feeling a lot of that for Monday. ~*~*~*~*~ I couldn't believe my eyes, the digital clock read 6:45. Late again? Uhh, Mondays and mornings are not for me. I forced myself off my comfy, cozy and messy bed. After taking a shower and following my school day routine, I was relieved to finish on time Though, I still managed to miss the school bus which meant walking to school, woohoo! It was freezing, thank god I had my beanie on. Well, that beanie didn't stay on my head for long, I suddenly started feeling cold wind tickle my ears. I looked back to see where my warm hat went and my eyes landed on the last person I wanted to see in the morning, Mason. The great creation of God, Mason. But the thing that got me mad was that he was wearing my beanie, when here I was, feeling like Anna from frozen when her heart froze. "Give me my beanie back" I whined looking at his green eyes that looked beautiful than ever before. "I'm cold" he whined looking at me and smirking. "Uh, you are so annoying," I said looking down on the sidewalk. "Chill out nerd, I'm just kidding," he said. "Well I'm not kidding," I said and it came out a little meaner than I had intended. His expressions changed in seconds, was that too much? "You nerds can't take a joke can you?" he snapped and I looked at him with a 'what are you talking about?' face. "Chill out jock, you can't seem to take jokes either" I shot back. "This is not even a f*****g joke anymore, is it? Here, enjoy your f*****g beanie. f*****g nerds" he said with a sharp voice, taking off the beanie from his head and tossing it on my head. He sure loved the word 'f*****g'. No judgments though. "Hey! At least give it back nicely" I said as he shoved his shoulder against mine and passed by me, speeding up. "Wow, manners" I muttered under my breath as he slowly disappeared into the distance. he walked pretty fast, but then again... he was fit, and me? well, not so much. I got to school and I had a good feeling about this day! *****
