My palms suddenly felt sticky and I could feel my brows starting to sweat.
I looked around the classroom and noticed everyone's desks empty and clean with only writing utensils on their table.
"Leslie put your papers away. C'mon it's time to take the test," the teacher said from behind her desk.
"Yes ma'am," I said quickly taking the last glance at my study guide before putting the stapled sheets upside down under my chair.
I saw the teacher pass out the tests and I looked around at everyone and they all seemed so chill and I was freaking out. I had studied a lot but I needed a 100 on this test or else I will have to forget about talking to my friends.
I quickly put my name on my chemistry test paper the second I got it. I looked at all of the questions involving multiple choices and found nothing that I had studied for. I studied the whole chapter, I couldn't possibly not know the answer to any of these questions.
I raised my hand "Umm, miss. I think you gave me the wrong test."
Ms. Florence came over to my desk and observed my test carefully "Nope, it's the right test."
"Don't tell me... SHI- shiz..." I whispered.
I looked at the title which read 'Chapter 14 Test'.
I read the wrong chapter... There was no way I was ever going to pass this test. I looked around to see the people around me, and just my luck, Mason was sitting next to me, Brenda was sitting behind me and Chris was sitting in front of me. At least there was one person with an admirable personality around me.
I looked at the first question again and put my brain to test and my eyes widened in surprise because I thought I knew the answer to it. I circled A and looked at the next question and my eyes widened again, this time because I didn't even know something like this existed.
How can I turn into a complete i***t under pressure?
I thought about asking Chris for help but it would've been too obvious if he turned around to talk to me.
I had no better option than to:
"Pssst, pssst! Mason," I whisper-yelled looking to my left. My only way out was Mason.
He took a glance at me before looking back down at his paper. Why did the test have to be on the beanie incident day?
Fuck my life.
"What's number two?" I whispered, ignoring the fact that I just got ignored.
"Shhh," Mason shushed me putting his index finger on his lips.
"Shhh is not one of the answer choices," I furrowed my eyebrows.
He looked at me like I was a dumbass, and at that moment, I felt like one too.
"Please, help?" I whisper-whined "please?"
"Shouldn't you be helping me? You're the nerd here," He whispered back without even looking up from his paper. He was reading and circling stuff on his test so confidently, as if he was going to get a 100, without a doubt.
"C'mon, I will help you with your homework," I said, "I'll do it for you if you want."
"Um... No thanks, I will do my own homework." Mason said before turning his green eyes back on the paper.
"C'mon please~, I'll owe you!!" I whispered, "wait, don't you owe me from that day when I let you escape detention?"
How was Miss Florence not hearing our conversation?
"You were being a b***h to me this morning so we're even now..." he said with a smirk. I knew what he just said made no sense but I also knew that arguing about it wouldn't do me any good.
"Ok, fine. I will owe you if you help me for now," I said desperately.
I knew he wasn't going to get a hundred, but at least something was better than nothing.
All I got was a smirk. And then my eyes widened and my face lit up when I saw that he passed his test paper to me and pretended to write something on the scrap paper.
"Thanks!" I smiled.
~*~*~*~*~
"So, you mean to tell me, your bae helped you with your test today..." Jade analyzed, making me smack her arm.
"He is not my bae," I simply said.
"You can fool yourself but not me," she smiled making me smack her arm again.
"Ok, my shoulder is sore. Smack me one more time and you're not gonna make it home in one piece," she said giving me a death glare.
I slowly picked up my arm and smacked her arm one more time and that was it to spark her anger. she ran behind me as I ran with my tail as fast as I could.
BOOM!
I bumped into someone and the person had dropped all their books
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry," I apologized looking up to see the tall figure's face.
To my surprise, It was Chris.
This just means we are destined to be. Meeting him unexpectedly, picking up fallen stuff together. Accidentally touching hands and then quickly pulling the hand away.
Seriously, movies are very accurate.
"Wow, every time we meet, it rains books," Chris laughed, bending down to pick up his books.
Even he noticed.
"I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean it," I said helping him pick up the books.
I laughed thinking about how similar this event was to what had happened in the library.
I think Chris was thinking the same thing because he was still laughing.
