Ava's P.O.V.
When Xaver and I walked into Arthur’s office to find everyone was just taking their seats. I waited a moment before starting, "I have been having a weird feeling today, a feeling like I'm being watched. Not like being watched from afar, but like I am being watched from something in my own shadow. I don't feel that whatever is watching is bad, it almost feels calm. When I was in the bathroom, I heard a voice say, "He is coming," but I don't know who that voice belonged to." The office fell deadly silent. Theo was about to say something when my dad's cell phone rang. He stepped out before taking the call. I looked at Theo and motioned him to continue, and he did, "Have you talked to Eve, to see if she knows anything about it?" I nodded and replied, "Yeah, she says its someone important to me, and they are on the way, although she didn't say when." Kyle and Xaver gave each other a knowing look, I wanted to ask them what those looks meant, but I don't think I really want to know, or at least not right now. We talked a bit more before my dad walked back in and Theo gave him a recap of the conversation. After the meeting, me and my guys headed back to my room to relax.
Unknown P.O.V.
Tomorrow I am supposed to attend a meeting at Blood Heart Pack. I have been having the strangest feeling, as if I were walking in someone else's shadow. I began looking for my mother, maybe she would know what was happening. I walked to her study and found she was sipping tea next to the fireplace, so I walked over and sat next to her. The omega tending to my mother brought me some tea, then turned to walk to her post. I waited a few minutes before asking, "Mother, I feel like I'm walking in someone else's shadow. Do you know anything about it?" She sat her cup down before a huge smile appeared on her face, before saying, "That means you're about to meet your mate, my son. My kind astroprojects to our mate when the time comes. I did with your father for days before I met him. I started feeling like that when my father and I were invited to a meeting at your father's pack."
I looked at her before responding, "We got an invitation to the Blood Heart Pack this morning before I started feeling like this." She smiled an even brighter smile. She had been waiting for me to bring a daughter home for her to spoil. "Well, why don't you go tonight? I can come with you. It has been years since I have seen Arial," she said. I nodded my head before pulling out my phone and calling alpha Kale to let him know. After the call ended, I instructed an omega to pack mine and my mother's go-bag so we could leave soon. I turned to my mother and told her, "We'll be leaving in twenty minutes. It is only a half hour drive. So I do not plan on stopping on the way." She just nodded before standing and leaving to find my father.
I went up to my room and into my bathroom, showered and got dressed. I checked the time and saw it was time to go. I made my way to the front porch where my mother and father were talking. I walked down the stairs and climbed into the driver's seat. My mother climbed into the back seat. We were finally on the road, and that feeling was getting stronger. My wolf started to stir, like he knew we were going to find his mate. The drive was becoming a blur of trees and an occasional house. When we reached the royal grounds, my wolf perked his ears up. When we pulled up to the pack house, I saw the luna and alpha standing there waiting to greet us. I climbed out and opened the back door for my mother. She stepped out, and we walked to the porch and greeted them. After exchanging pleasantries, an omega escorted us to our room. On the way past the stairs, I caught the most amazing smell and I started seeing the back of a girl. She had this icy snow-white hair.
I stopped dead in my tracks and whipped my head to the stairs. My body moved on autopilot up the stairs as my nose followed the scent. I ended up at a door on the fourth floor. I knocked and heard shuffling on the other side. When it opened up, I was met with the face of a male. He had shorts on and another man stood near the bathroom door behind him with my mate wrapped around his waist. I was pissed, I wanted to reject her, but when she turned to look at me. My world came crashing down, I took a few steps forward and heard the door shut behind me. When she was placed on her feet, she walked towards me. As she got closer, that feeling from before came bubbling up fast. It was when she grabbed my hand that everything slammed into me. I saw her eyes go wide when our skin touched. Before I could say anything, she sat me down and told me she was a blessed wolf born to be rejected by her first mate, and she would be blessed with four mates to help protect her. Then she asked me for my name and I could only stutter out, "Vin... Vincent, my name is Vincent, and I am the alpha of Silver Moon."
