Ava's P.O.V. The view was so beautiful. Standing on the edge of the cliff, I looked out across the ocean. Seeing the moon cascading across the water, I couldn't help but feel the moon soaking into my skin. Today I turn eighteen, and I finally get to see my wolf Eve. My name is Ava, and I am the daughter of Alpha Kale and Luna Arial Blackheart of the Blood Heart Pack. Today also means I get to start finding my mate. I was hoping not to find my mate in my own pack, not because I didn't want mine. It's because I want to travel and see the world. My pack loves and adores me, my parents and brothers love and adore me. I am the youngest of the five Alpha pups and the only girl. "Ava, mom and dad are on the way," my third brother, Arthur, said, walking to my side. "Are you sure you want your first shift to be here? Why the cliff side of all places?" my oldest brother, Theodor, asked. "Theo, I don't know how to explain it. But standing here I feel free. I'm able to breathe freely, able to calm down, able to just be myself. It feels as though I'm being released from a cage," I said, looking at him. He looked at me for a second before he turned his focus to the couple walking up the path to the cliff side. "Mom and dad are here, it won't be too long of a wait now, Ava," my second brother, Wyatt, said, walking my way with his mate Kaitey. We sat there for a good ten minutes when my fourth brother, Drake, noticed that my wolf's aura was starting to surge forward. "Ava, it is almost time," he said, looking at me. I started to feel the tingles running through my body, I crouched down and let her take control. "Eve, the stage is all yours," I told my wolf. My bones cracked and popped out of socket and realigned as my body morphed from human to wolf. After I finished shifting, I lifted my huge head and let out the loudest howl I could. It was so loud that it shook the ground and the trees. My family stood there looking at me with wide eyes. "Ava?" My father asked in shock. I stood tall, as the wind blew through my fur. "I am Ava's Wolf Eve. We have been waiting a long time for this day to finally come." I mind linked him. I shifted back and let my mother dress me. They were all shocked at the size of my wolf. I was even shocked by our size, though my wolf had warned me in advance. I had thought she was lying, but it seems I was wrong. " Ava.... Your wolf, she is huge, much larger than any of ours. How is this possible?" Theo asked. My wolf surged to the surface and replied to him in her own voice, "No, Theo, it is I, Eve, Ava's wolf, I am a blessed wolf. After Cora, our mother's wolf, almost lost her life giving birth to Ava, and Ava was dying during birth, Cora bagged the moon goddess to protect Ava, so she blessed Ava with me. I have been with Ava for years now, and we have waited for this moment. I possess gifts that will help and protect Ava, but she needs training. I've done what I can being only inside her as a counterpart."... They all looked shocked by my wolf's statement. "Eve, why would Ava need help and protection? Do you know of anything that will hurt her?" my dad asked, worried about his only daughter. My wolf blocked me from hearing her reply. "You will all know soon, I can not tell you because I can not allow anyone to change the path Ava must go down. Everything will happen but all the pain she will endure will give her more than anything. She will have five mates, she will be needed by those five. You must help keep peace between those five because they will try to fight each other, but we can not allow that. She will need them to protect her. I will reveal more to you, but we must keep Ava from knowing, or she will risk her life, and we all know my human, Ava, can be ruthless. I must go so she can come back," Eve finished saying this, and I was shoved to the front of my mind back to my 'body'.
