Chapter Seventeen

951 Words
Arthur's P.O.V. My dad and I were talking in his office when Theo and a warrior walked in. Theo gestured for the warrior to speak and he did, "Alpha's, there is a wolf at the gates, he said to give you this letter and that he would wait for your reply." I took the letter and opened it and began to read it. I looked up from the letter in my hand to look at my dad, "This letter is for Ava, it seems someone from Mountain water is reaching out to help her with information." He nodded then instructed an omega to retrieve Ava and her mates. I turned to the warrior and instructed him to have the man brought here. Ava walked in a few minutes later with her mates in tow. They walked to the couch before sitting. Ava walked over and stood by me. I handed her the letter and she began to read it out loud, "Dear miss Ava, Alpha Mason brought a witch into the pack one year ago. They have been rewriting mate bonds, using the magic of persuasion, and drugging wolves. Six months ago, I found my mate was the gamma. We were happy for a few weeks before the alpha's step-sister, Mari, took a liking to my mate and the alpha pulled him in for a meeting one night and when he left the meeting he rejected me and left with her. Four months ago, the alpha's sister Josie took a liking to the beta. He had always talked about finding his fated mate, but the alpha had an omega drug, Jason, and delivered him to Josie's bed. When he returned to the pack after leaving you, he wasn't the same. The alpha is going to force him to blood bond Josie. She is my mate and pregnant with my child. We have not rejected each other. They are planning a war against the royals, against you Ava. Because of the rejection, they lost all their help. They are recruiting rouges, vamps, and witches. They plan to take what they think belongs to them. Alpha Mason was furious about your family and the pack's reaction. Please be careful his mate is a witch. -HWT" I stood there not knowing what to think when there was a knock on the door and a warrior pushed it open, walking with a man not much older than me. He locked his eyes on me and kneeled. "Are you the one who wrote this letter?" I asked. He looked at it and shook his head, "Yes, I just want my child, and then I can leave that pack. They have all lost it. When Jason returned, he was beyond pissed. He is being drugged to keep him calm. He believes that he is the father of my child and the alpha is ruining his own pack. I know of a few that are planning to run away before the alpha declares war," he said. Theo and I looked at each other before I asked, "Are you willing to break the pack bond?" He shook his head and pulled out a flash drive and handed it to the warrior. He then said, "Yes, I just want my child. Then I will leave for good. That flash drive has copies of every patrol route, business structure, all pack records, even private records, along with security footage from the alpha's office." I motioned the warrior to plug it into the test computer, and hook up the projector. We watched on the screen as things began to pop up. Financial records, medical records, magic imbalance reports, business contracts with rouges, transaction records for the witches, patrol routes, and dozens of videos of these 'meetings' in the alpha's office. Everything he said was there really was. Ava was standing there looking lost when I saw her eyes. Eve was with us. She turned to the man and, with a loud boom, asked him, "What is your name and rank among the mountain water pack?" Her voice held so much power we all bowed as the man bared his neck in submission, then softly replied, "I am Alec White, and I am currently holding the title of head warrior trainer of mountain water." Eve reached out and touched her finger to his forehead, and it began to glow a light vibrant blue. The light began to grow and with a flash, the man's memories started playing in midair. We watched his childhood, teenage years, adulthood at full speed until we got to when he met his mate, Josie's eighteenth birthday. The memories slowed, and we watched them mate and the moment they took a pregnancy test, then slowly made our way to the rejection and the pain. When his memories made it to the moment he stepped foot in the office, Eve pulled her figure back and the man stared at her with joy and tears in his eyes. He stammered out, "How did you do that? How did you take the pain away?" Eve looked at him and said, "You will need to be clear-minded. You will be a great tool for Ava. We will retrieve your child, but it will come at a cost. You must lay your life for your future luna." He looked at her and bowed low to the ground. Eve looked at Arthur and boomed her order, "Call the council, request a DNA test, request it be done by the royal doctors. Once the child is born, we shall take it. Alec White, you are the last of the White bloodline, the pure black wolves live only through you. Your line will not end with you."
