Chapter Seven

Ava's P.O.V I didn't know I had fallen asleep wrapped in Xaver's arms until I heard a knock on the door. Xaver was already getting up to answer the door when there was another knock. I sat up as he pulled the door open and I smelled an amazing smell: pine and freshly cut grass. It smelled amazing. When I looked up to see who it was. To say I was shocked would be an understatement. My eyes met the eyes of alpha Kyle, another one of my brother's best friends. He walked over to me and sat at the end of the bed, grabbed my hand and pulled me into his lap. I looked at him, and before I could say anything he smashed his lips into mine. I felt the mate bond slam into place and my arms snaked around his neck as I deepened the kiss. Xaver came to sit beside us as Kyle pulled away from the kiss. Xaver pulled me into a kiss next, and again I felt the bold slam into place. "Xaver, I know neither of us like sharing, but I think we need to have a talk about this before our wolves fight for control," I heard Kyle say. Eve forced herself to the surface and blocked me from the conversation. I would have to learn to read lips if she keeps doing that. Xaver's P.O.V. I felt Kyles Wolf starting to insert a claim on my mate and I knew if I started anything it could hurt Ava with her being so close to us, but when I heard her speak it sounded different. She was speaking to our wolves: "Rye, Linni, neither of you should fight. Ava needs the five strong alphas she is mated to, in order for her to be who she meant to be. Please do not fight. I have willingly accepted you all. She, too, will accept you all. She will need your protection, she is going to be sought after and people will try to steal her. I can only help her from the inside. She doesn't know about the danger, she is reckless sometimes, and I fear she will walk into danger willingly. She is a free spirit. Once all her mates have been found, you must all mate and mark her in the order you were received in." I looked at Kyle in shock just the same as me. "Eve, I don't share," Kyle's wolf, Rye, surged forth and said. "Rye, you must share. Your mate depends on all five of her mates. If you don't, you could ruin Ava and me. We require all five mates," she replied. She then turned to me and called my wolf to the surface. "Linni. You must learn to share your mate." I just nodded my head and pulled her close to me. A part of me wanted to freak out, but Eve started humming, and the room fell into a haze. She pulled both me and Kyle to the bed and snuggled into both of us. Kyle and I lay there and I decided to talk and find common ground. "Kyle, how are we going to make this work with all being alphas? We all have our own packs," I ask. He sighed, then said, "What if we moved our packs closer together, we could all become neighboring packs? There is a lot of land outside Blood Heart, maybe we can talk about it with alpha Kale and Arthur tomorrow at the alpha meeting." "That would be lovely. Then I would still be close to my family." Ava's small voice came out of her half-sleepy form. "Anything for you, my beautiful little mate," Kyle said, kissing her head. "Yes, little wolf, anything you want we will do. If we have to move pack grounds then we will," I said before kissing her nose. "That is great to know. I am sure my brothers would be even happier, their best friends moving closer to them," she said through giggles. She got up and pulled us from the room and up to her room. She pointed to a couch by her window and went to take a shower and got changed for bed. When she came out, she waved us over to her bed and we both stood at the same time, walked to each side and stripped down to our boxers and climbed in on each side of her. She was warm and the smell of her made both of us yawn before we all fell into a deep sleep.
