2. The Fire At The Ball

Lilith's POV

I was literally out of breath in the elevator as I got to my dorm floor. Why? Why do I have to have 5 da*n mates? And not just any mates, Venom? My family told me to stay clear of my own mates. Oh, if they were here, but why did my mom look at the one do*che like she knew him. I've never met him.

"Ray, thank the Goddess you're here." I said and hugged her. I wanted to cry. I don't want a mate. They make you vulnerable. And even without one, Hera, of course, is trying to kill that Bella girl.

"What's going on? What happened for Venom to chase you? They usually just call out their target, not chase them. Oh My Goddess, did they hurt you? Did you catch one on fire? Are you alright?" She says with her eyes widened and asking question after question not stopping.

"It's so much more worse than that, Ray." I sobbed out, as the elevator doors opened, I started walking to room 666. Seriously?

I used the stupid key card to get in and pull her in. The best part is, all of these rooms are soundproofed. I looked around the room, and saw there was only 1 bed, and it honestly looked like an apartment. I froze as I took it in.

"Girl, your room is fu*king huge!" Ray squealed. She grabs my hand, and we start checking everything out. After 15 minutes of searching the whole apartment, we sat down on the couch with a bottle of wine.

"What's going on, Lily baby?" Raylynn says, grabbing my hands. God, I missed my best friend.

"Well, lets see. I met my mate, he rejected me & then decided to humiliate me. So I got sent here because no other packs were willing to take me in because of the ball situation. THEN, my mom told me to stay clear of Venom. And it just so happens that I just found out all 5 of them are my da*n mates!" I said, crying into my hands. "I never wanted a mate since my 1st mate. Not only do I have 5, but they are all fu*king bullies?" I yelled out. I hear a little noise, then saw my door handle move.

"Oh my Goddess, are they looking for me?" I honestly get scared. Until the door opens, and I see Raylynn's mother's head pop in.

"I had a feeling you'd be in here girls." She said with a smile on her face.

"Momma Plumm!" I yelled, running to hug her. As I'm hugging her, I open my eyes to see the elevator door open, and all 5 of my mates are sniffing the air as they exited out of it.

I pulled her hard into my room, and slammed the door shut.

"What was that for? You embarrassed by me?" Momma asked with her one eyebrow raised.

"Were they out there?" Ray asked, looking scared.

"Yes, but they didn't see me, only smelled me." I replied.

"What the he*l is going on?" Momma asked.

I sat her down next to me, and then explained to both of them what happened. Momma Plumm is speechless for once, and I'm honestly pi*sed off.

"Well, they know who you are, but they don't know about your gifts, so we don't have to worry about the Alphas being power hungry." Ray said.

"I might've fu*ked up and used one of them on Malachi." I mumbled, hoping they wouldn't hear it, but they did.

"WHAT DID YOU DO?" Momma yelled.

"Nothing bad, I only mind linked him. No fire." I said with my hand up in a defensive position.

"We need to tell your parents. You need to get out of here," Momma Plumm says.

"I can't." I sobbed again. "It's the Alpha King's orders." I mocked him again. They both giggle.

"That attitude of yours is why you get in trouble, my dear. So tell me what happened at the ball. Your mom told me a little but some of it didn't make sense," Momma says, hugging me.

I then explained what happened at the Alpha King's ball.

FLASHBACK TO THE BALL

As I walked towards the double gold doors, I started hyperventilating. I'm so nervous, but excited at the same time. This is my 1st ball. I haven't been home for 3 years, due to me traveling and training with different packs & covens. I needed to find a way to control my powers. I have had Hera (my wolf) since I was 10. But I didn't shift until I was 12. We usually get our wolves at 16 & shift at 18, but I'm a descendant of the Moon Goddess herself. So not only did I get my wolf early, but I also have multiple gifts. I started off with only being able to mind link anyone I chose, whether they wanted that link or not. But after the years went on, I started getting more and more gifts. It is uncommon to have more than 3 gifts. There have been 5 other descendants within 6000 years that were recorded. But none can do what I can. They didn't even make it to 16 because others thought if they killed them, they'd get their powers. Well, they were pissed to find out only the Moon Goddess can give those powers and gifts away. She only gives them to the most selfless people.

Now now, I know I'm a troublemaker, but I love others more than I love myself. That's my weakness.

As I go to open the doors, I get this most amazing smell. Ocean waves blow with fresh air and mixed with s****l desire. I froze and turned around to see the Alpha King's son with another woman on his arm. He stops, sniffs the air, and then looks at me with desire and lust. Then, when it clicks it's me, he frowns. He has always hated me. He thinks I'm nothing but a troublemaker because I traveled to different packs. His dad explained he'll change his attitude towards me when he becomes the Alpha King because that's when he's able to learn who and what I am.

He then stomps to me, takes my arm, and pulls me into a janitor's closet.

"Let's get this over with, because I'm not keeping my Queen waiting." He says with a stern face.

"What? But, we're mates?" I whispered, putting tears in my eyes.

"You are impulsive, rebellious, and mysterious things constantly happen around you. All my father says is, 'you'll find out the reason for the mysteries when you become the Alpha King.' Guess what? I don't want to know anymore. I don't want you. I'm going to choose Eve as my mate. I Alpha Command you to tell no one about us." What he didn't know is that no Alpha Commands have ever worked on me. His father should've at least taught him that.

"I, Lee Channing, future Alpha King, reject you, Beta Lilith StarBorne as my mate and future Luna." I get a pain in my chest, but it instantly goes away. But he is on the floor having trouble breathing.

"I do not accept your rejection, Mr. Alpha King," as I say it, I feel Hera coming to the surface.

"There's no way you got your fu*king wolf. You're just a pathetic little Beta girl!" He cries out, as he falls to one knee, holding his chest.

Then the door slams open as Eve and The Alpha King barge in. "What is going on in here?" He looks at his son, then at me with anger.

"Your son just rejected me as his mate, even though the Moon Goddess blessed me, I'm just a pathetic Beta girl to him."

I pushed Eve to the side as her eyes widened with shock and then relief.

"What have you done? Do you not realize how important she is?" His father yelled at him.

"I choose Eve as my chosen mate." Lee says, standing up to grab Eve's hand.

"That's going to be hard since I reject your rejection. Now I'm going to make out with a couple of guys, Eve, I'll see you after the party." I said with a mischievous grin on my face, then I saw his hand on hers and my eyes go completely orange.

"Lilith, I will fix it, just give me some time please." His father begged.

"Fu*k that, I don't want that b*tch around me. I hereby banish Lilith Starborne from my kingdom." He yells, but nothing happens and I smirk at him.

"Maybe,-" I said, still with orange eyes and walking towards him," you should find out from your father why your commands and banishment aren't working on me, you stupid fu*king mutt." Then as my anger grew, a very small fire started in the closet. Lee didn't notice it, but his father did.

"Lilith, please calm down! He doesn't know anything!" He continues to beg.

"Even if I did not have gifts, you should never reject your destined mate for the kingdom's sl*t!" My voice booms, as it makes all 3 of them submit to me.

"This is impossible!" Lee screams, trying to fight the submission.

"I am a blessed she-wolf, and as you just rejected me, Lee, I will never accept your rejection, instead I'm going to act like your bimbo of a b*tch, and have you feel the pain of every man I touch. And now, your kingdom will weaken because of your stupidity!" My voice booms again, and I feel the curse on him come into contact. The fire has now spread everywhere in the hallways as people are running out. I lift my Aura and walk away still with Hera on the surface.

Lee grabs my shoulder, and pulls me to him. "You can't fu*king walk away from me b*tch!" He yells in my face. This time, my parents hear what is going on, and run to calm me down.

"Sweetheart, your emotions, please baby calm down." Mom says sweetly.

"I wouldn't be like this if my mate didn't reject me for the Kingdom's sl*t!" My voice echoes. Everyone that was running stops, and looks at the future Alpha King with shock and disgust.

"Fu*k you and your Kingdom, you won't make it to be Alpha because I REJECT YOUR REJECTION!" I yelled, then grabbed his future Gamma, Cal, and started making out with him. As he fell to the floor in complete pain, Cal was making our kiss deeper. One thing that Lee didn't know, was most of the guys here in the Kingdom's Pack, they've been BEGGING to be my chosen mate, including his Beta & Gamma.

After I stopped making out with Cal, he whispers in my eye while holding me by my waist, "he never deserved you. I'll take care of you if you accept his rejection. We can show him what areal power couple looks like." He drags his nose up and down my neck. It makes me giggle.

Then I hear a loud roar, then slashes going down my back. "How dare you be a sl*t with my Gamma, this is why you'll never be Queen." Lee growls as Cal is trying to hold me up, while I'm losing consciousness.

As I'm trying not to black out and hearing growls and fighting between my parents, the Alpha king against my so called mate, I hear the Moon Goddess whispering to me.

"Sweetheart,I'm so sorry. He messed everything up.I will fix this for you, I promise my beautiful daughter."

Then I blacked out.

END OF FLASHBACK

"Ever since that night, no one in the Kingdom has spoken of that night, and Lee has almost been shunned by everyone. He refuses to hear who and what I am, saying that I drugged him, that's why he submitted to me." I said with a scoff as I got up.

I heard my door bell. I turned at the door confused. But go to answer anyway.

As I open it slightly, I see one of the Venom boys, but by himself.

As I was about to shut the door, "Wait, please, I'm not going to hurt you. I just-" he trails off.

"What?" I said, acting mean as hell.

"My name is Ethan Blake. I just, I just wanted to meet my mate. I don't know about the rest of them, but God. I've been so excited about meeting you. Please, give me a chance. I won't f**k this up. I promise." Ethan begs.

I sighed, but then looked up and down the hallway and ushered him in. He was so happy coming into my room, until he froze. I looked at him confused, then realized Raylynn and her mom were still there. They were looking at Ethan with widened eyes also.
