Ellis' Point Of View:
I saw her rush out of the living room as I stepped inside, our eyes met as she turned for a second to take a look at the person that had just entered. She hurriedly discontinued the look and headed out of the room. The way her bosom moved rhythmically as she ran was fascinating. I couldn't help but have flashbacks of our night together. I somehow longed for more, even though she was now legally married to my older brother.
“What do you want?” Patrick's voice thundered, taking me out of my thoughts.
I cleared my throat and turned towards him.
“The men, they are on their way here,” I whispered to him, ensuring no one else could hear my discussion with him.
He put on his pants, headed towards the center table, took out a file, and handed it over to me.
“Take care of the stuff inside of it, no mistakes are allowed.” He ordered and I nodded my head. I glanced through the file in my hand and closed it immediately.
“All right,” I muttered and turned to leave, but something caught my attention. It was a pink pant lying carelessly on the floor, it had an embroidery of a velvet rose on it. I knew at a glance that it belonged to Olivia. I had seen an exact type on her that same night. The scent when I sniffed at her pants that night clicked in my brain again. I could feel a throb in my boxers, I badly wanted it again.
‘Did I love her? I think I just wanted to have a taste of her again.’ I thought to myself, with a wide smirk plastered on my lips.
What was I thinking? She was now married to my brother, I ought to erase all thoughts about her from my brain, but I just couldn't bring myself to. She was too sweet for me to let go just like that, and I must still have her on my bed one more time, regardless of her marriage with my older step-brother.
“What are you still waiting for?” Patrick's voice jerked me back to reality.
I made a slight cough and walked out of the living room, my mind filled with fantasies of myself and Olivia.
Five Rolls-Royces drove into the compound as I stepped out of the living room, they were my brother's business partners. I made a slight bow towards them and headed towards my car, driving out of the compound at top speed.
Olivia's Point Of View:
I hurried to the window to get a view of what was going on in the mansion as various horns blasted and collided right in the compound.
About five men alighted from the luxurious cars, each one of them holding a briefcase. Another thing that piqued my interest was how uniformly dressed they were, all dressed in black suits, red ties, and black sunshades, with a tiger badge stuck to each of their chests.
“How are you doing madam?” A voice behind me said as the door creaked open slowly. A middle-aged woman walked in, her head slightly bent as she moved closer to me.
“Who are you?” The words slipped out of my mouth. She was old enough to be my mother, I shouldn't have talked to her in such a manner, I had ignored her warm greetings.
“The head steward of the mansion. I just wanted to ask if there was anything you needed.” She replied politely, not minding my rude remarks.
“Not at all…I am fine.” I said, trying so hard to wear a smile on my lips. The woman bowed and turned to take her leave.
“Wait…” I muttered, and the woman halted immediately. I walked briskly towards her and held her hand warmly.
“Those men…who are they?” I couldn't resist the urge to ask about the stony-faced men who had just marched into the mansion. The aura they exuded somewhat feared me.
“I…I don't know.” The woman muttered and slowly slipped her hands out of mine. Her eyelids twitched as she hid her eyes from mine, cutting off her gaze on me. It was obvious she was hiding something from me.
“Talk to me, I…”
“I am very sorry ma'am, but I know nothing about them.” The woman mumbled and quickened her pace out of the room.
I stared at her with suspicion, she knew about them.
“What have I gotten myself into? Don't tell me they are…no, it can't possibly be what I was thinking.” I muttered. But how will I know the identity of those men? There was just one way to find out. I had to look for answers myself.
I hurried out of the room and headed towards the living room, which was as silent as a graveyard.
“Where did all those men disappear to?”
I struggled to find my way around the whole building, the architecture was so complex that it made me grow more suspicious. Something secret must be going on in that house, or else there was no need to make the design of the house so complex that one could easily get lost.
I took what seemed to be my third turn around the house, and I began to grow tired. Just as I was about to give up, I noticed a stair that led to a place that seemed like a basement. I made up my mind and descended the stairs. To my utmost surprise, there was a big underground house adjacent to the main building.
I sighed and walked into the underground house, walking slowly and silently so as not to alert anyone who might be living in the underground house. As I walked past a room, some murmurings caught my attention, and I instantly stopped to eavesdrop. I strained my eyes through the little c***k in the tinted glass window to take a view of the people inside.
It was them, the men that had alighted from the vehicles. Spearheading the meeting was none other than my husband, Patrick Brown. I noticed a female figure among the men, I tried to take a closer look at her, and I was shocked at who the person was, it was my stepmother, Lilian.
“So, the cartels will be shipped tomorrow?” One of the men asked, he had a thick baritone voice that screeched through my ears.
“Of course. All the procedures have been met, they will surely be shipped first thing tomorrow morning.” I was sure that it was Patrick who had made that statement.
“Also, that man… Frederick Williams. What do you plan on doing with him?” Lilian asked while Patrick nodded his head with a smirk on his face.
My heart began to race as the name of my father was mentioned. What did these men want from my father?
“Now that I have his daughter, he has no choice but to succumb to my bidding, only if he wants to lose his dear daughter,” Patrick said with an evil laugh.
I staggered, and my eyes opened wide in shock. It occurred to me that they had all planned everything out, the crashing of my father's company, and forcing him to marry me off to him, he and Lilian had both planned it out carefully.
“And when I have been able to fully step on his properties, I will murder him just as the way I killed…”
Out of shock, my cell phone slipped off my hand and dropped, making a loud noise that alerted the men.
“Who is that?” Patrick's cold voice thundered and my heart crashed.
Was that the end of me?
