Shaken
As the sun rose, it filled the sky in bright colours, the gold of the sun shone through the trees leaving trails of light across the dewey clearing,
"it's so pretty out there, so green and full of life!" My eyes opened to see the wonderful world in front of me, I moved my body to find myself covered in water, it must have rained last night. I get off my moss bed and head for the river, some little blue birds shot across from one tree to another singing a song of either pure hatred or of some description of love, I reach the bottom of the trail and dip my toes into the frosty water, it felt good.
a few moments later a harsh growl and the snap of a stick could be heard, I opened my eyes to find a large grey and black wolf in front of me. Anger rearing off him as if I had just slapped his Luna.
"Oh shut it you big goof. I'm not even on pack territory."
a small voice in my head tried to push through, he was trying to talk to me, I squashed his voice out and rolled my eyes.
"you know others need water too right. I havnt even come close to you. awe does dah big bad Wolfie want to eat me?"
The large wolf went to lunge at me but stopped short as the ground started heaving it's self underneath us, we looked at each other and took a step back from the water, my footing slipped and I yelped as a sharp pain ran through my foot. the look of anger in the wolves eyes turned to one of concern as the sound of gushing water could be heard close by, the grey had disappeared and a howl could heard in the distance. I scrambled to a higher ground but it wasn't high enough before I was drenched and cold being dragged away from my home, trying to swim to the side I could feel my wolf throwing herself forward to get us to saftey, the pain ripped through and was gone in an instant. she whimpered and tried to kick us toward shore. something had grabbed us and dragged us to shore. in a daze and completely unsure of what had happened our head fell to the ground panting and Dazed. small sniffles and a growl was all that could be heard before the green and gold light had faded to black.
