*James POV*
I glared at her as she made her way into the crowd, her hair covering her face as she moved. I could feel the drink seeping slowly through my expensive suit shirt.
The night was bad enough and a crazy girl had to make it worse. Irritation prickled under my skin mixed with the wet feeling of the spilled wine.
"Oh gosh…James baby, Are you alright? Do you want me to go after her?" I shut my eyes for a brief moment as Victoria's screechy voice pierced through the loud music how I hate her being around ,I didn't realize that she was still following me. She made it clear to everyone that we are dating even though I told her that there were no feelings attached but I really don't mind now, she's pretty physically and sometimes you need someone to satisfy your urge and she's willing to do so.
I didn't respond as my jaw ticked in irritation as she dabbed my shirt with a tissue, her movements more irritating than helpful.
"Can you imagine that lowlife? The audacity… and to think that she couldn't apologize, what a slut" Victoria continued ranting. I turned and made my way to the exit,my mood already ruined. I wanted a change of scenery to calm my head from work stuff and it seems relaxing isn't ready to welcome me. Victoria trailed after me as she shouted for me to walk slowly.
"Of all the fancy club, you chose this, for f**k sake, really?" She whined as she tugged on her skirt trying to cover what was left of her dignity that wasn't exposed to the world.
I walked to the car which was already waiting. The driver opened the door as we got closer and shut it before Victoria could climb in. She released an unladylike huff as she glared at him.
"b***h, I can get you fired, you old man! At least hide your ungentlemanly attitude in public,"she shouted, turning to me for help. I turned to the other side, ignoring her as I felt my head aching. When she had had enough of standing outside, she opened the door herself and sat down with a huff. " Asshole, what a night!" She muttered under her breath as she threw her bag on the seat beside her.
"To the penthouse," I said as the driver started driving. I planned to go back to the office from the club but I changed my mind.
Victoria's whining increased the longer I spent with her in the car but I just turned her out trying to focus on any other situation. Her voice eventually quietened down as she leaned into her seat in anger.
When we finally got to the penthouse, Victoria was already back to her flirtatious sweet act.
I made my way inside, unbuttoning my shirt as I made my way to the mini bar. The penthouse was dark and quiet as the housekeeper already left. The moonlight streamed through the floor to ceiling windows as I enjoyed the few seconds of silence before it was cut short.
Victoria walked in later, her heels clicking loudly on the marble floor. I didn't look up as I focused on pouring myself a drink. The amber liquid swirled in the glass glinting under the light as I brought it to my lips. Enjoying the way it burned pleasantly as it ran down my throat,I downed the remaining, pouring myself another glass.
"You seem upset James, don't you want me here?" She asked,as her screechy voice cut through my thoughts.
"No" I replied flatly as I took another sip of my drink. Her smile faltered but she fixed her expression. "You can't ask me to leave, you made me leave work early to go hangout with you so… "
" Just go, Victoria " I sighed as I rubbed a hand over my face.
She moved closer, her eyes narrowing with determination. "I'm a person too so I'd appreciate it if you treat me as one… I'm tired of just being your stress reliever "
I released a chuckle as I placed the glass on the counter "I made it clear from the beginning… I'm not interested in a relationship with you or anybody"
She crossed her arms as her expression fell. "Maybe you should try being in a relationship… you act like I'm easily replaceable."
I downed the rest of my whiskey and set the glass on the bar with a soft clink. I almost laughed at her last words "Maybe that's how I see you and you know that I told you from the start ."
Her face twisted with anger but she schooled her expression immediately. She stepped closer, her fingers trailing along the open collar of my shirt. "Why don't you let me try."
I caught her wrist, stopping her. "I'm not in the mood for all this… quit playing"
Her eyes flashed, and she leaned in, her breath warm against my ear. "Who says I'm playing?"
She pressed her lips against mine as she moved her hands up my chest. I enjoyed the feel of her body against mine and I pulled her closer, deepening the kiss as her hands wandered around my body. Even though I wanted to rest, I decided to indulge myself in it.
I lifted her as I made my way towards the nearest guest room as her nails dug into my back and her kiss demanded. I matched her pace as I placed her on the bed looking down at her. Her dark eyes stared back at me as she inhaled in quick shallow breaths. I leaned down to kiss her neck but stopped midway as memories flashed through my eyes, halting my movement, they are just always there I wish I could free.
She reached out to grab my hands," Come on James" she said in a low voice which had a mix of pleading and seduction.
I shook my head as I kissed her harder and more harshly than intended as I tried to drown the image in my head. She groaned under me and I didn't know if it's from pain or pleasure,or maybe both.
"James," She murmured,as she pulled away. "You were hurting me,just be here with me okay"
I snapped from the haze as I stared at her, her image clearing up before my eyes. I stood up as I made my way towards the bathroom to wash myself as she laid on the bed, releasing a weak whine.
