Queen Venice’s POV I was sitting at my dining table having lunch. I was almost done and couldn’t wait for the maids to leave the room in their little chatter. I wanted to be alone. It took a few minutes before the maids left and I was left alone in my big empty room. They had changed the water in the flowers and I had picked the dead plants away, throwing them into the bin. Now as I lay on my bed, the smell of fresh flowers traveled from my balcony into the room. I was about to take a little nap when I noticed how pale my skin was becoming. Turning my face away from my own predicament and choosing to ignore it, I took slow shaky breaths and laid my head back on my pillow, bringing both my hands together on my stomach.
