Diana POV
I needed to save my marriage; that was the only thought that came to my mind and I was determined to do it by all means
I got closer to them and almost immediately, she pulled him closer and kissed him clipping her hands on my husband's nape. I stopped as she noticed me. Henry suspects her reaction, pulling her gently towards him and turning his face to me.
His eyes locked with mine. My heart throbbed painfully while he narrowed his eyes.
He turned back to Veronica. "Tyson, take my Luna back to her chambers!" He ordered his beta.
"Are you not going to come with me? This is our first night together, please!" I begged him trying to act cool again after getting very hurt inside.
He could not say anything to me but still became more furious.
"Let me escort you, Veronica" he spoke back at Veronica in a soft voice, pulling her gently.
I could not imagine, I have not seen him be this gentle. Since the first time I met him, he was happy to see me around but this time was different.
His beta approached me and at that moment. There was no point in struggling. He was too strong and big for me. I moved inside as he followed behind.
I stayed bitterly awake and cried throughout the night thinking of what to do. I got up the next morning, dressed up, and tried to cover the heavy eyes that I had because I could not sleep.
I made my way quickly to Morgan's cottage, it is one of the largest in the county and surrounded by fierce guards.
"Henry had doubled the guards," Amber said with concern. "Are you still going In there alone?"
I let out a little smile saying, "Yes," I noticed it too but I went past all the guards as they freely let me in. I reached the door, at once, and my heart started beating faster after hearing the mumbling voices inside.
With a deep breath, I pushed the door and she stood like a corpse to the faces she had seen. She tried to talk but not a word came out of her.
My father father, Raymond looked at me with guilt and grief worn on his, face, and my step-brother, Kendrick rubbed his hands with a scornful smirk on his face.
Morgan and Henry were already seated with my family and didn't know about it.
"We were expecting you, my Luna and wife," Henry faced me with a Daring face.
"Diana, Henry has been very kind to us. We were just discussing how to expand our packs." Kendrick added.
I signed. Looked up at Henry, I faced them. "Herny is my husband now and we have just gotten married. But, he had chosen another wolf." I lowered my face clenching my hands together while Henry looked on with a scary grin on his face.
"We already know about that, Diana. We don't see anything wrong with Veronica. Henry has everything under control as we see it." Raymond said.
"I just want her to stay away from my marriage and my house, and," I added.
Henry fumes angrily and immediately snaps, "You are already Luna, is that not enough? Veronica is going nowhere. You have already done enough by hurting her. I need to be by her side."
"Morgan, Father, please talk to him" I begged them, "Henry, listen to me. I beg of you. I am your mate."
They looked at me with pity while Henry looked undisturbed.
Kendrick giggled, "You cannot turn back now. You turned your back on us, why beg now? You have no choice."
"Stop it, Kendrick!" My father, Raymond commanded him.
"Nevermind. I think I would enjoy this," he chuckled mockingly as he took sips from his drink.
"I am sorry my dear," Morgan cuts in. "But you have to apologize to Henry.
The sudden changes in them had me thrown in disarray. I stood in disbelief. "I did nothing Wrong. She is trying to—"
I could not finish when we all caught her scent, she was behind the door, as if she had known still strode into the big room. She dressed in shiny matching outfits, with parts of her long shiny red hair clipped at her back.
"AHH… Veronica, you are beautiful as they say. Your father is a good friend of mine," Raymond welcomed her as the others also took turns.
"I am sorry Diana," Raymond said. "I warned you but you insisted you wanted to stay with your mate. We have no choice now. I have to unite my pack."
My father and stepbrother had left, turning to Henry now together with Veronica. It was as if my head was spinning at the moment.
"We were brought together by fate, Henry. Are you going to ignore me even as your Luna!" tears welled up in my eyes, I struggled to clean them off my face but I could not as they rolled down freely down my cheeks. "if you are not going to want me, let me go. You would never have to see me again."
"There is no such thing as that!" Henry retorted, his eyes burning with desire for me because of the mate bond, In as much as I could feel that he loved Veronica over me, I could sense that he still, would not want to let me leave.
"You are going to stay in this pack and you are going to do as I say as my Luna or anything that I see fit." He added angrily as I looked up at him in disbelief.
"That is final and you also don't have a say in this matter," he continued. "you are going to serve me personally."
"Henry!" Veronica stood up almost immediately seeing what had been going on. "You can't do that. If she doesn't want me, then I don't bother to go away." she cooed bitterly.
He immediately came unto her holding her around her waist and this had to hurt me as much as I could see how they had disgusted me.
"Patience, my lady, "Henry said to her. "I am only keeping her under control," he assured her.
"Why don't you reject me?" I asked him, my voice sounding more like a whimper.
Still holding on to Veronica, he turned. "Don't you ever say that!" He let out a low angry growl.
"You have no choice!"
He went away with Veronica while I retired helplessly to my chamber. It seemed to me like a horror in reality.
I prepared the next day trying to make myself up to impress him not until I heard the celebrations.
"What is happening in the pack house?" I asked one of the omegas on duty
He looked uneasy at first giving glances at the other omegas on duty before he let it out. " The Alpha is celebrating Veronica, heir to the lunar pack birthday. He had summoned the whole pack to celebrate her birthday inviting high-profile Alphas to celebrate with her."
My heart throbbed unsteadily and troubled. I dismissed the omegas and continued preparing myself in the best way to meet him but all the strength was gone. The mate bond was already rotting away.
With a saddened face, entering my bathtub and submerged in the water. All I could think of was to drown myself. I had no choice after all.
