JANUS MARASIGAN

1472 Words
The wind seems to be blowing badly today. The sky thundered with the forecast of rain. Bagalto Marasigan sighs; he remembers the time when he met a woman in the forest. At first, he sighed. This woman is neither a vampire nor a shifter. He gave her food and water. The woman immediately eats it all before saying, "Thank you." From then on, every time he was in the middle of a war with vampires or even rouges, he always succeeded without blood dripping from his body, unlike other warriors. Bagalto realized it. And so the woman he recognized and met in the forest just wandered around like a madman. There are clothes that are very dirty and smell dead because they have not taken a proper bath for a long time. To be clean and tidy, Bagalto brought her to his home. He called one of his assistants to assist the woman, who smelled rotten. Bagalto Marasigan was waiting at the table for the woman to come out with his son to formally introduce her to him. While maids are busy preparing the food on the table. Then later on, the father and son were mesmerized by the beautiful beauty now in front of them; its rotten smell had now turned into the smell of roses. Five years later, while Bagalto is on the field of war, Aldrex, his son, makes a wrong decision; he rapes the woman and gets pregnant. Bagalto was hurt by what his son did; for him, it was sacrilege. But because he was a beta, he hid it from everyone, including the previous Alpha. The two were married without love, so after a month, Aldrex also got fed up and looked for another concubine. As for shifters like them, they always look at their mates, to whom they can give their true love. Until the time came, the child born was a girl, and that was Alice Marasigan. "Grandpa," Alice called. This time, she is now Janus Marasigan in this feature. Bagalto Marasigan was stunned for a moment, but when he saw Janus Marasigan, his face lit up. He rarely went to the front line, so Janus Marasigan's face was also a big surprise for him. Seeing a face that looked similar to his own son, he was pleasantly surprised. "Grandpa, don't tell me that my face shocked you so much." Janus Marasigan wore a helpless expression. Bagalto Marasigan laughed, not embarrassed at all about his stunned face. "You look so much like your father when he was young." "Well, I am your granddaughter." "Yes, you're right. Come on, I have already prepared the carriage." He gestured towards the waiting carriage. "Yes Grandpa." There were already four shifters waiting for them. Two of them were Rick Suarez and Richie Suarez. The other pair were Julius Boras and Jake Mendrez. Among the noble families in the city, only three of them have high-ranking officials in the pack. The Suarez family, the Mendrez family, and the one that had yet to arrive, the Marasigan family The Marasigan and the Mendrez families were both completely focused on the field of war affairs, which would make the kingdom fall once their camp was suppressed. This was what happened to the Marasigan family fifteen years ago, and they had already nearly fallen completely if not for some genius left behind. "Those Marasigan families sure take their time." Rick Suarez said it condescendingly. They have never once had good relations with the Marasigan family. They were always at each other's throats and competed with no holds barred. The Marasigan family's fall was something he had dearly hoped for for so long but hadn't yet seen happen. "Their location is the farthest," Julius Boras retorted calmly. "Besides, it is still not the appointed time yet." Jake Mendrez threw a murderous gaze at Rick Suarez, then said nothing more. The Suarez family had influence over both pack warriors and even connected with the noble officials of the pack. Not only that, Rick Suarez himself was a prime minister who was still in his prime. There were two prime ministers in the kingdom: the prime minister of the left was Leonardo Boras, father of Julius Boras, and the prime minister of the right was Rick Suarez. They were the four biggest families in the kingdom, and soon there would only be three since the Marasigan family had long lost its qualification. The four families were always at each other's sides. They would banter and, at times, have some friendly relations, but never get too close. Julius Boras threw a hostile gaze at Richie Suarez and said "Since our old men are arguing, what about you? Do you want to join in?" "Not interested." "Why?" Julius asked. "You're not worthy," Richie replied indifferently. Jake Mendrez suddenly had the urge to strangle Richie Suarez in front of him. He once heard about him and knew about his achievements. Compared to him, Rick Suarez was far more astounding and powerful. So, although unwilling, Jake Mendrez could only choose to restrain himself. Rick Suarez indeed didn't put Jake Mendrez in his eyes. For him, only Janus Marasigan could make him look at it that way. The others were only backups that did not hold much importance. Rick was getting bored when the eunuch suddenly announced the arrival of the Marasigan family. Once again, there were just two warriors headed inside. However, this time it was a male warrior, not a princess, who came with the previous Beta Bagalto Marasigan. The four pairs of eyes strained deeply onto the male shifter. Janus Marasigan was indeed a fierce name, especially in the places he was leading. However, Janus Marasigan had never shown up in the city prior to this day. They too only knew about it from the spies they placed on the border, so they were particularly curious about him. How could a seventeen-year-old warrior shifter become a general? With just one look, they were already baffled. Janus Marasigan's stature was very slim, just like a girl's. His refined clothes and his peaceful aura would make people mistake him for an average young male shifter. Among the four of them, only Rick Suarez sensed something wrong. The impression that Janus Marasigan gave him was like that of a sleeping lion, a beast in human skin. Rick Suarez's lips perked up. He felt like this challenge was going to be interesting. "Hahaha, have you all waited for long?" Bagalto Marasigan laughed and growled. Instead of apologizing, this old man chose to make fun of his old friends. Julius Boras brows creased up. He stops himself from changing form because, deep inside, his wolf is very angry and wants to get rid of him. He never liked this old man, who could not seem to read the situation and would possibly create trouble. Rick Suarez shook his head helplessly. His old pal had never changed; he was always the same playful and shameless old man. However, Julius Boras smelled something strange on Janus Marasigan's statue; he was focusing on his aura, so he couldn't smell anything from him, unlike other young shifters. "Is he a human?" Julius deep thoughts "So, this is Janus Marasigan?" Rick Suarez shifted his gaze towards the warrior. Alice raised her head, and her calm eyes met those of the old man. "My name is Janus Marasigan, and it is a pleasure to meet you all." Janus Marasigan's voice sounded a bit childish. Boys normally mature later, but usually at 17 years old, their voices have already started to change. Alice Marasigan had not yet perfected Janus Marasigan's voice, as it would sound strange. She could only use her real voice and lower it to sound different. In any case, it was unlikely she would meet them as a girl. Jake Mendrez stared at Janus Marasigan with hate. For him, he was just a kid; how could he become so famous within such a short time, even if he hadn't yet reached the stage of deformity as a human-wolf? Alice turned her head and met the two young generals' stares. She had long heard about them, even before she stepped onto the battlefield. However, seeing them now made her more certain that they were truly powerful. Her gaze remained calm as she stared back at them. "Little warrior, do you have the confidence to finish this challenge?" Jake Mendrez started to provoke her. Janus Marasigan didn't have any idea what kind of test the Alphas had prepared. However, no matter what that person would throw at him, she was ready to accept it. "Yes, I am," Alice replied. Jake Mendrez truly hated the way Janus Marasigan kept his calm demeanor. He was about to provoke her again when the eunuch announced the Alpha's arrival. "The Alpha has arrived!"
