LEILA'S POV I straightened the curtains, neatly arranged the flowers in the vases and stepped back to survey my handiwork. I moved around the house, checking to see that the mess Ruelle had made had all been tidied up. The last thing I wanted was another row with Ruelle which would happy if she saw the house untidy. After satisfying myself that the apartment was clean, I picked up the key and locked the door after me. Hopefully, I would be back before Ruelle returned. At the doorstep, I stopped to breathe in the clean, crisp morning air. Things had been looking up since the permanent move here.
