Chapter Twenty-One It didn’t take Quinn long to grab her backpack that had a faded sunflower print on it. She shove in a couple of changes of clothes, her handful of valuable jewellery she’d rarely worn and hoped her parents wouldn’t miss, toiletries, the bit of cash she’d left in her underwear drawer and head to the kitchen for some resealable plastic bags and a water bottle. Passing the linen cupboard she took an old towel she hoped wouldn’t be missed. Buddy followed close on her heels. In the kitchen she grabbed the resealable plastic bags, filled a water bottle and threw in an unopened packet of biscuits and an orange.
